If you know New Orleans and want to be uptown, this is your place. It is two blocks from the newish Freret Street restaurants, and parking is free. Longish walk to streetcar or to Tulane, but doable, and there are buses. Prices are not outrageous considering. Staff is friendly as possible. Still the same as before the pandemic.

We have stayed at the Alder on several occasions. The nearness to downtown is great, while the short distance provides some isolation, lower rates and plenty of free parking.

Nestled in a perfect area of New Orleans and short drive to the Riverwalk Market. And within walking distance to Rouse market, and the Bearcat and Hi Hat restaurants. Enjoyed the stay very much.
