Judging from the pictures on the website I had high expectations. Unfortunately, they are very misleading. We booked 1 bedroom apartment but as soon as you open the door there was a sink with TV on top on the left wall and old couch on the right, this was the living room, small as a bathroom, no windows as on the pictures. Was dark and uninviting. Actually the bathroom was the biggest room and right after was the little bedroom that shockingly had queen spring box and DOUBLE mattress. How in the world you can put 2 adults on double mattress!? We did not sleep at all, twist and turned, my husband fall on the floor the first night. We had to sleep side to side to fit on the bed. Really disappointed. The reason did not go to complain or request another unit because we were out most of the time so we taught just for sleeping at night is ok. Thinking back now I regret for not requesting another unit.

Check in and out was smooth and easy. Free washer and dryer in the building. Lovely to have a sitting area and a kitchenette, although who wants to make any meals when in NOLA? Right in the heart of the French Quarter.

Overall pretty good place to stay. It’s overall quiet except you can hear everyone talking in the rooms and hall way. No parking onsite but they offered valet parking 2 blocks away. Great location, you can walk to everything. Building did have funky smell also.

Property was clean and staff was friendly and helpful. Sound machine in the bedroom was a nice touch and even the pull-out couch was comfortable. Aside from peculiar art in the suite, my only caution is the parking situation; if curbside parking is full, you will park at the Wyndham on Royal Street (a few blocks away). It is not far, just inconvenient during a midnight check-in.

My overall stay was good. The place was clean the staff was very pleasant. The bed was supposed to be a queen, but I actually think it was a full size and very uncomfortable. The pillows were old and flat. They need to updated the bed and pillows.

Big Easy comfort
We had four rooms and each one is a suite. Very comfortable and the decor was perfect for the “Big Easy” feel. Very artsy! The staff was super friendly.

The Room was clean and well appointed. There was even a wine frig in the kitchen. The staff was absolutely amazing. The building layout is a little quirky as it is in the quarter and takes up several adjacent building with different floor heights which means there are small sets of stairs when transitioning from one building to the next. I will definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed the early 20th century charm of the property. The location right next to the French Quarter and the Mississippi was excellent. The balcony was a lovely retreat and a great place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine. There were renovations going on during our stay. While we realize that maintenance must take place - especially on an old building - we didn't appreciate the noise and the smell. If you are going to have repairs or renovations during a stay, then you should offer a discount to your guests for dealing with the dust, noise, smell, etc. The kitchen/living area was dark with not enough lighting. The hallway light switches were not wired correctly. The shower curtain hung over the tile ridge and the water dripped onto the bathroom floor. The hallway and elevator smelled like weed or poop depending on the day. And who thinks a normal couple (we are not large people) can sleep comfortably in a double bed?! The staff, on the other hand, were very friendly and professional. They were very nice, helpful people. I would try it again, but not during a renovation.
