Someone bought a hotel without figuring out how to run it.
My reservation was made last year on hotels.com. During the interim, a new owner took it over WITHOUT TAKING OVER THE PRIOR RESERVATIONS. I checked in, not realizing they thought I was someone with the same last name. The elevator was broken, and the poor receptionist had to carry my 45-lb bag up 3 flights of stairs. I said a ground floor room would be ok but he checked and all of them had not been cleaned yet (this was 8 pm). Then 15 min later he told me I could stay one night but they had no vacancy for the other 3 nights I had reserved - during Mardi Gras and Valentine’s weekend. Thankfully hotels.com made things right by arranging for alternative accommodation without 2x the price. But I noticed I was not the only guest angry on the premises. Reserve a room here only if you enjoy gambling on whether the elevator works or if your reservation exists. Maybe call to make sure. The room was clean and decent though.
All the staff members that we had any contact with was very nice. Unfortunately the bar/ restaurant wasn't open, but we made do with what was around. I would stay here again
There should be an option for zero stars. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! Expedia need to remove them from their site. There was no air conditioning in the apartment. We got two box fans and I’m still waiting to hear back from the General Manager. The elevator did not work. We got hand towels to dry off with after our shower. The staff did try to the best of their ability to make the stay pleasant but our issues were just beyond what they could do.
This hotel is not what the pictures depict. Very rudimentary rooms. Shower didn’t drain, doors didn’t lock, tv didn’t work, air conditioning dripped water continuously, elevator did not work. check in was at 3 but room was not ready until 9pm. Front desk didn’t seem to know what was going on, no one could explain why. Room was not clean. Requested a blow dryer and TRASH BIn. Told neither was available!!! Surfaces were dusty. We travel a lot and this by far was the worst room I’ve ever stayed. Called ahead to verify there would be parking at the hotel. They did not have parking.
This hotel was a mixed bag. Staff was incredibly nice, but the room itself was seriously lacking. Duvet cover and hand towel had stains. Hallway had a funky smell.
Outside of building was not secured. Non-guests could walk into hotel and access hotel room door without any restrictions. The hotel room door itself was a simple door handle key that I’m sure could be easily picked. This was particularly problematic as many hotels were being targeted by thieves during Super Bowl week. When the staff was notified they acknowledged the issue but I don’t think they could do anything about it. Appeared to be an ownership issue versus staff.
We stayed for 4 days but were supposed to stay 5. We did not have a warm blanket on the bed. The fire detectors in the room were broken. The bar and restaurant were not functioning. On our fourth day, we were told a story that management had changed October 1 and that our Expedia payment was not given to the new owners. They asked us to pay again the same price of about $1300 and to “ ask Expedia for a refund”. We of course did not do this. We spent almost 2 hours arguing with the front desk about this as they admitted that it was unprofessional and they should have been upfront with all guests that management had changed and we of course stated that it was not our problem that they were not getting their money from the previous owners. The entire time we were almost the only people staying there. The elevator was broken (she said it broke that morning but according to other reviews it looks like it broke months ago). No one ever came to check on us or clean our room in 5 days. The staff could not give us their bosses name or number for fear of their boss getting angry at them. We felt the worker was possibly being controlled or manipulated as she was living there and put an impossible situation of asking every guest to pay again. We left a night early without getting our money back for the final night as we felt it was completely sketchy and we didn’t feel safe staying there. Expedia should not be affiliated with this hotel anymore that is honestly barely functioning.
Our reservation was made in July, the property has new owners as of September. Upon arrival at check in we were told of “new rates” which were $300 higher. They tried this with several guests with NO communication prior to arrival. After plenty of protesting, they finally honored the reservation price. Never experienced anything like this before.
Our TV did not work, the door did not lock. I also got downgraded from a suite at the hotel I had a reservation for, to a much smaller room. I also still had to pay $150 for incidental and $100 for parking
The room was falsely advertised online. After we paid for our room we were told it was a shared living space (never advised as this). The door to our shared living space would not lock and the space could be accessed by anyone off the street. We were told we would receive a refund and we never did.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Didn’t expect a window unit for an AC. Also, there was construction going on a floor above us - not very relaxing. Lastly, the shower was very odd. It was in the room not the bathroom. This was not what we expected.
When me and my wife arrived I was informed that I didn’t have a reservation and had to go search for another hotel which cost me more money and time for a smaller room…very disappointed

Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
No refrigerator or microwave in room no face cloths
Have a bar which wasn’t open. Rooms way too small bed is three feet from shower
A very unique and cool building not far from everything you could want to see in the French quarter. The neighborhood felt very safe and all the staff were attentive and kind. I would stay here again if I ever come back to NOLA.
