This is a great place to stay in the French Quarter. It’s a short walk to the French Market, Jackson Square and Bourbon Street, as well as most other places you’d want to go, but it’s just far away enough to be very quiet. The property is key fob access only and feels very safe and secure. It has a lovely interior courtyard with a pool and lots of seating. The front desk attendants were always available and very friendly, taking care of any needs immediately. We had a premier king room, which more than large enough for two, as was the bathroom. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that the room was clean enough but not spotless, the bedroom needs better lighting, a refrigerator and a mirror and the bathroom needs more storage. However, I would definitely stay here again even without those things because it’s so conveniently located, safe, and has that old New Orleans feel.

Very poor room, stay elsewhere
The service was great as well as the location, but the room itself was uncomfortable, bare, and in need of repair. The room didn't have any chairs in which to sit in so we had to take one from the pool area. There were two chairs outside on the balcony, but they were too big to fit into the room. There wasn't a refrigerator in the room. The fan in the bathroom wouldn't remain on unless you were moving around the bathroom which is hard to do when sitting on the toilet and the shower was slow to drain. The only dresser in the room had missing hardware on two of the three drawers. The room was dark with only one overhead light and one light on the nightstand. This was pathetic when paying nearly $300 per night.

Will stay again!
We stayed for 4 nights and I was satisfied with the accommodations. We did not spend a lot of time in the hotel except to sleep, but the time we were there we were comfortable. If we needed something, we asked and it was provided. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Because of the location, we were able to walk around and do things around the FQ without needing to drive anywhere or worry about transportation.

Staying at the Chateau felt like being at a short term rental with housekeeping services. It was quiet and clean, and the bed was comfortable. The only major drawback for me was that the bathroom sink offered no space to set anything down, and whatever I did temporarily place beside the faucet would slide down into the sink. All of the front desk personnel were friendly and helpful. This is not the hotel for those who want frills, but it is good for people who want to spend more time out and about than staying in the room. And who wants to stay in the room when you're in New Orleans!

The location is prime and they do their best to keep the gate locked and the area clean. Our room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The pool was a nice addition to luxury and we enjoyed the patio area when the weather was warm.

Great property and location. We had a balcony room and loved our stay. I would say the only thing is bring an eye/sleep mask. They have curtains on the door windows and there is quite a bit of light coming in. Otherwise, it's a great choice.

Very noisy at night. Shades didn't keep out the courtyard lights at bedtime. Had trouble locating the front door to the hotel. There is no signage out front and the office curtains are closed all the time.
