Stay somewhere else for a few more dollars.

Stayed one night in way to early morning flight. Hotel bar/restaurant advertised was closed. No explanation, just closed. Hotel needs some work, run down.

Garbage in the parking lot, stains on the room curtains, room smelled like cigarettes, mold in the tub, and toilet roll broken off. Garbage next to ice machine over flowing for 2 days. Bar closed 3 days I was there. Not sure where the previous good reviews came from because the place was terrible. Beware

I have stayed in better placed for the Money. The room was OK yet it needed some repairs and we did find a tick in the bathroom, so that was not cool. I did not report this as I was able to take care of it myself. The room did need some repairs too, but nothing that made the room unusable. Last of all I though the entire hotel was musty. I think replacing the room and hall carpets could help with this but maybe not. The staff and people were very nice and helpful though. This was the first time in this area, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I would likely not book this hotel again. The restaurant on the corner was excellent thought! Enjoy life! Jake

No Airport Shuttle for Me.

My stay at the Clarion was average. Although it was not bad, I would not stay here again. The room was a little dated but it was clean and had everything that I needed. The website states that it provides airport transport. However, I waited over 45 minutes at the airport and was never picked up. I called the hotel and was told the shuttle was on its way. I called again to make sure that I did not miss it and was told it was 5 minutes way. After waiting an additional 10 minutes, I took an an Uber to the hotel, I saw the shuttle parked at the hotel. :(

When we were checking in at the front desk, the guy who checked us in basically requested my Id and explained the $50 deposit that was needed and it will be refunded back to the card. Well instead of inserting my card i used the tap option which was available. He said no don't use tap because it will take up to 3 weeks to remove the hold on on your card. I bank with Chime. He stated to me out loud in front of my boyfriend that Chime is not a real bank which was very embarrasing and i politely told him that is not a problem but it didnt stop me from feeling embarrassed because no one asked him if Chime was a real bank or not he just up and said it. The room only had one trash can bin which was located inside of the bathroom. There was no remote for the tv and my boyfriend had to go downstairs to retrieve one. There was no microwave in the room. He had to go downstairs to warm my food. The remote they gave us didn't work properly. The buttons were hard to press. The wifi was trash. The curtains were very spotty and dirty. The only thing that was clean was the bedding and bathroom. By the way, the guy at the front desk stated that CHIME wasn't a real bank and I wouldn't receive my $50 for up to 3 weeks and i literally received it back within 2 days. I won't be staying at Clarion ever again.

Very Disappointed

First room 5310- dirty cup left in the room, air was cold, ice machine did not work on 4th & 5th floor. Had to go to front desk to get ice. Heat never worked, nor the phone or clock no trash can. Moved us to room 5314- heat finally worked, but no phone or clock in the room, had to use my cell phone, the cable wouldn’t work, no hair dryer in room and then was some black stuff on the shower

The first room that was given to us was not cleaned. There was trash bag near the door entrance and in the bathroom. The second room that was given to us was better. The lady at the front desk apologized about the situation. If you are a light sleeper, don’t stay here you will hear planes flying in and out of MSY all day/night. There was a lot of parking space. The location was closed to many restaurants and tourist activities.
