When the entry door shows repeated efforts to break in, it's a bad sign. But this is a motel showing good effort to improve things and the staff were very helpful. Some of the oddities involve an actual key, you have to return the remote upon check-out, and an antique bathtub. But overall a good value stay.

They sent back some jewelry I left in my room. The room was clean but construction around other than that it was very convenient to the air port.

Honestly the only two bad things I can imagine about this place was parking was tight in the room got pretty humid if you turned the AC above 68. The staff especially the guy at the front counter was really amazing and respectful. The room clearly showed signs of needing to be updated in the sense that we noticed the faucets leaked a little bit and the tub held water only for about 5 to 10 minutes as it simply drains the water even though the stopper was in place. First night discovered that the floor sweats hence the humidity part if the room is above 68 especially if you use the shower with hot water and don't close the bathroom door. The only other thing we saw that was unsettling was in looking at the door you can clearly tell it doesn't sit completely sealed. Once the lights were out in the room you can clearly see the lights from outside through the cracks in the door where it was offset. Was no big issue to us but this definitely led to the humidity in the room. With that being said about the room there was Zero problems. No bugs of any kind no electrical issues no issues with the water temperature. The bed was firm but still comfortable. We were both thankful for the pleasant experience. Also one more shout out to the guy at the front desk who knows his way around New Orleans and some really good spots to just enjoy relaxing.

Wonderful staff and excellent service! 10/10 There was an issue with my Expedia booking that wasn’t really anyone’s fault, just one of those things that happen. What stood out was how the staff handled it. They didn’t make excuses or push blame..they stepped in and helped me get things sorted. Management made sure I was taken care of, and that meant a lot. You can tell they actually care about guests, not just the business.

I have stayed at the Contempra Inn on many occasions and have always found it to be a consistently pleasant experience. It is an exceptional value for the price point, convenient to the airport and with many dining options, both full-service restaurants and fast-food, in the immediate area. The room has always been clean and the full-size refrigerator with microwave is an added plus. There is a Walmart Super Center in the area as well as a Walmart Neighborhood Market for added convenience. The free parking is a bonus considering how pricey parking is at 'chain hotels' and in the city center. I have always found the staff, both front office and housekeeping, to be pleasant and willing to meet any reasonable need I may have. The incredible number of TV channels, local, cable and premium cable are another bonus. Overall, this is a property that should be carefully considered when searching the area for accommodations.

Perfect for my needs when visiting New Orleans. Stayed a number of times. Never an issue. Clean, very comfortable bed, safe. Can’t beat the price either. It’s perfect if you have a car and know enough about the city and surrounding areas.
