The outside of property appears to be run down. Condition of inside rooms are not up to standard of hotel stay. I gave a two stars.

Mattress was very hard and tub was draining like there was a blockage and it was extremely dirty. I was told by staff that there were no other avaliable rooms. There was also no bathroom door like it had been ripped off the hinges.

The elevator is on its last leg and they need a serious dusting.
I mean for what you pay, I was more upset that I didn’t pay more to stay somewhere better but the breakfast was really good! Only reason why I am not giving 1 star. Our bed covers had brown staining on it on the bottom corner. The shower pressure is really good, however, the water would flood so we had to take the cover out and it’s pretty nasty in there. The bathroom wall had some dirty stuff on there too. The hotel is pretty dingy looking, so it doesn’t help it wasn’t clean. We experienced very loud and obnoxious noises on certain nights, we were located by the elevator, so although it was close and convenient, it was pretty noisy at night. Front staff was really nice, and even the cleaning staff.
The area was shown to be nicer and cleaner online than it really was in real life. Staff were nice but the actual place wasn’t nice at all. Our room had a smell & the bathroom door was broken & the sink located outside was unclean. I mean the price is on cheaper side, so i understand. We left the second day we couldn’t stay more than a night.

On my next visit to New Orleans this hotel will definitely be on the list of possible places to stay. My main reason for returning to the hotel would be all thanks to the amazing and phenomenal front desk staff. Rashaad was probably the best front desk clerk I have ever met in all of my years of traveling. He was welcoming, he made sure we felt comfortable upon check-in and also made sure that we knew great places to go check out to eat in the local community. He had such a genuine smile and energy. Also special kudos to Ms. Rebecca and Mr Corey for being helpful and engaging. The hotel is in the middle of a remodel so there are a few structural things but I know that Mr Corey the GM is working on getting those things fixed. If I have any complaints it was the lack of attention that the cleaning crew took to keeping the rooms clean. I had to request a cleaning of the bathroom and fresh towels from the front desk, the morning after we checked in. That matter was handled, but the cleaning team needs some work. The breakfast options were not super awesome but it was enough to be able to put something in our stomachs to get our day started. I did get to talk with the GM and other staff members about the few concerns that we had and they got things fixed for us as far as the cleaning quickly without any issue. Overall this day was great and again this location is definitely on the list for a second visit if nothing else just to feel that wonderful hospitality.

The staff and security were nice. The property needs updating, especially the rooms. Housekeeping needs to be managed better; the hallways were not vacuumed, the elevator was never wiped down during our stay, and the bathroom was not as clean and sanitized as it should have been. Overall, it’s a 2.5 Star Hotel and I got what I paid for… not sure I’d stay there again.
