I stayed here because it was conveniently located next to the Ponchatrain Center. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room smelled of stale carpet and cleaning supplies but at least it was clean. I didn't stay in the room much so I didn't need much. There was a Keurig, microwave, a mini fridge in the room which is great for a longer stay. There was hot coffee in the lobby!!! While the room needs some updating it wasn't bad and I will stay again.

Upon arrival at the property there was a horrible smell of sewage immediately entering into the building. The staff acted as if they hadn't noticed anything. Our room wasn't properly cleaned and we asked for housekeeping to come which they didn't and she rearranged the towels. The bathtub was an awful mess and the water pressure was extremely low. There were geckos in my room and staff tried to switch me to a different room the following day, but there was going to be a delay getting the new room as nothing would be available immediately. The property is embarking upon renovations and this was the excuse used for the poor condition, but cleanliness just takes a caring staff.
