This place is so cool. Yes its older, its NOLA. The room size for price is just not beatable down there. Easy to walk anywhere in the Quarter from here too.
There was plenty of space in the rooms for my whole party. The staff were very nice and accommodating. The bathroom and tub could use some revamping and the mats and towels could be updated. The rooftop area definitely needs updated. They have nothing to eat or drink on site and the soda machine was broken the whole time we were there. Overall, we had a nice stay and would book again.
It was pretty centrally located and we had really good service checking in and out. Stayed for 5 days. Building is very old and that probably accounts for some issues like paper thin walls, doors slammed all night long. Plumbing was crazy loud and you could hear when anyone flushed or showered, used the elevator etc. Walls and ceiling are not insulated.
In addition, room had not been maintained well. Both showers had no water pressure, 1 shower didn't drain. TV/ cable didn't work, took us about an hour to fix it, front desk had no one to send. There was trash and old food in the fridge when we got there. The electrical panel in our room had no blanks in the dead front for safety. There were a few doors and windows that were covered up. Our bedframe stuck out about 3" past the bed. I smashed my knee on it the first day and husband came home with bruises on both shins because of the bed frame. On the upside the heater worked great.
(I tried to attach pictures but app wouldn't let me.)
First of, Amy is/was amazing. She helped us from the time we arrived. The only thing I don’t like is the hotel does not have any parking. However Amy helped us and recommend a few safe spots for us to park. Once we parked we didn’t move! We was able to walk to everything or catch a Uber.
Our stay was quite lovely. Rooms are a bit dated but the location and price were perfect for our family. I would certainly recommend for those looking to stay close to the French Quarter and needing some space for a group. Six of us stayed quite comfortably in the suite.
Overall, the hotel was very charming. The exposed brick was really nice and was not like the bigger chain hotels. There was construction going on either in their hotel or next door with no warning and the banging was incessant especially in the early morning hours. The parking description is misleading. Self-service parking available meant calling a number for some random parking company that owns the lot next to the hotel that you can call and ask if they can open the gates for you. This was terribly inconvenient AND expensive. We got in late and nobody answered so we had to park at the Hilton / mall area parking at. $50 per 24 hr. There was also zero housekeeping service so if we wanted anything we had to get it ourselves; not a huge deal but for the prices that consumers are charged, you would think we are far enough past the pandemic that we could at least get a change of clean towels. Anyway, if you are looking for a place close to things - we were 8 minutes from the river walk mall, riverboat cruises, 3 minutes from Canal St and like 10 minutes from Bourbon street, then this is the place to go. We didn’t need our car at all so it just stayed parked (costing us money by the minute lol).
What great great hotel, very quaint and the staff was super nice. The bedroom had a hot tub 😳😍 and kitchen area. Definitely will re book in the future.
The hotel staff were absolutely wonderful and diligent. They made sure we were safe and well taken care of. The jet tub was a nice plus and the beds and couch were very comfortable.
DO NOT STAY HERE. I booked a stay from Jan 29 to Jan 31. I was supposed to pay at the hotel at check-in but my card was ran before we arrived at the hotel and was overcharged. The cooking utensils were burned and food was still in it. The pictures had mold in them. Mold in the bathroom tiles. The dishwasher couldn't open all the way as it would hit the refrigerator door. The tile floor in the kitchen was sticky. There carpet was dirty and stain and had gum on it or something.

Overall a nice place to stay, needs updating
The tub was old and dirty and needs to be replaced. The shower didn’t have good water pressure. The bathroom was really the only issue I had except for the strong smoke smell coming from the rooms right off the elevator
There was a problem with a room lock when I arrived and I was upgraded to a huge suite. Amy at the front desk was brilliant - knowledgeable of the area, great recommendations for food and shopping, friendly. I’ll definitely return here when back in NOLA.

The hotel workers were very friendly and nice. The lobby is nicely decorated but hotel is out of date. It was extremely cold and the water took more than 30 minutes to heat up for a shower. The second night the plumbing messed up and backed up into the shower. Not sure if it was a weather related issue bc it was very cold. They did move us to another room so I would stay there again... the price was good and hotel workers weee helpful and friendly.
The front desk lasy was amazing and great when we checked in. I would not recommend as very overpriced for the room. The room was not even part of the historical building. There was was store front type door that was the "window". The ac unit was very loud each time it kicked on and about every 20 min there was a noise that sounded as a blender was being used.
Hotel in good location and room we had matched description/details. It worked well for our group. Check-in late at night was great and we received a lot of help get in and situated. Parking on street was bit of an issue and we received a lot of help during check in to make that a non-issue
