One cannot mention the Monteleone Hotel without mentioning the Carousel Bar. We first arrived at the hotel early in the morning and had decided to do an early check-in as we had made reservation for the Carousel Bar. What a good decision it was! We had stayed at another hotel on Bourbon St and decided this time around to stay a street or 2 behind, which we're happy we did. As much as everything at the Hotel is first class, what topped it all was the staff. I would recommend this hotel to everyone who loves being in the French Quarter but doesn't necessarily want to be surrounded by the Hussle & Bussle of Bourbon St. Will definitely book there again on our next trip!

Overall the hotel was amazing and I can’t wait to go back. My only complaint honestly was that the maid service kept skipping our room. They would clean it when we asked but felt like such an amazing hotel you shouldn’t have to ask. Still, can’t wait to go back and stay there again.

We’ve always come to The Monteleone when in NOLA. Great location & convenient. Rooms and bathrooms are dated and need updating. Also, pool was crowded and not many available chairs; with empty chairs holding “reserved” signs. No key required to enter hotel, elevator or pool. Makes me wonder if locals use facilities unchecked. Also, they are selling seats at Carousel Bar. For $100 you can reserve a seat. Guests shouldn’t have to pay to have a seat at the bar. I think this could be the last time we stay, unless they make updates and some changes.
