Hotel Royal was a fabulous place to stay in the French Quarter. It is a picturesque hotel! It is within walking distance of everything. Clean, safe and quiet. Highly recommend!

The room we had did not measure up to the room we expected. The bathroom was tiny and did not have a rain fall shower. The bedside reading lamp was totally inadequate for reading and the overhead fan did not work. We had to wade through a big 1 inch deep puddle to reach our room. Guests in the courtyard were very noisy until well past 10 pm on the first night.

The staff was fantastic and the room was everything and more than I hoped for in a trip to New Orleans. Our balcony was next to a residential balcony that regularly played music and ran a bubble machine which was fantastic. Sitting on the balcony watching everyone enjoy the bubbles was a great experience. We are already planning a return trip 😊

Exceptional service by the front desk. He walked us to the room, talked about the history of the building and made us feel very welcome. The room was small, bathroom was huge. We didn't mind the small room bc we stayed out strolling the streets majority of the time we were there. The bed was extremely comfortable, had no issues with hot water, air conditioner worked well.
