So you are not staying at Saint Regis. But if you are into fun historical, this is a great stay. The rooms are clean. The staff is amazing and we love the privacy in the quiet. Plus, you can walk anywhere around you want as far as the French corner goes.

Loved our stay at Melrose Mansion! The location was literally perfect. Walking distance to Bourbon St, French Quarter, & the French Market. The building itself was beautiful & Jaylin was so sweet - she definitely set the tone for our stay. Gave us a lot of recommendations on where to eat & drink. Overall 10/10

Hey! It’s Singlemamatravelista and here’s my thoughts on the Melrose Mansion! What to love: 3. The hotel truly has the historic feel of old Orleans. Modern yet preserved, you truly experience the elegance of historic Nola. From fixtures to iconic pics and chandeliers; the place is a true vibe! 2. The boutique feel of the hotel with VIP amenities offered give it a special edge. Prior to check in an email is received to choose your luxuries. Do you want robe and slippers? Extra complimentary snacks or drinks? Satin pillow cases or lavender pillow spray? Massagers or upgraded Dyson hair appliances? All are offered to set you up for a luxurious stay. 1. VIP suites offer extra privacy and luxury to include a secured key entrance balcony that solely encompasses your suite. The suite has full service kitchen, small living room, lovely bathroom with huge sit in shower and one of the most comfy king sized beds I’ve ever slept in. the apartment feel makes this hotel a true gem among boutique hotels in NOLA! What to be aware of: 3. The suite was on the 3rd floor and the elevator was out of service. Keep in mind, this is an old mansion so stairs are high and curvy. If you have alot of luggage, and want a ViP room, make sure make sure to confirm the elevator is working! 2. The hot water was not working. The water was ice cold! The hotel ended up allowing me to shower in another room. 1. Amenities were not in my room upon check in. Had to walk down 3 flights to get them.

The property is gorgeous. The rooms are spacious and the pool is beautiful. It is walking distance to all major attractions and the staff is lovely. Will definitely stay here again. The amenities are also wonderful!

Pay at hotel is not what it seems.
I loved the place and would stay again. One thing I was annoyed about was that even though I had selected pay at hotel they Roomza group actually processed the entire transaction a day before I arrived. This meant that I lost the opportunity to gain points using another card which I chose not to use online. Either way the organisation should not have processed it, I complained and recieved no resolution. Otherwise, this is a good place and Miss Emily at reception is a welcoming concierge.

Great location, the place feels more like home compared to traditional hotels. You are within walking distance to any attraction ( Caesar Superdome, French quarter, Jackson square) The managers were extremely nice, informative and always available to satisfy any requests. Shower had great pressure/temperature, place was always clean 11/10 would stay again

Emily is an absolute gem, she is the best thing about this place. Other than that, this place is poorly managed. The building is charming but a bit run down. The cleanliness was not good. Don’t expect a good breakfast or any breakfast really. They make a pan of eggs, meat and waffles and if you’re lucky cups of yogurt, and don’t refill it so if you come after 8am you’re SOL. Last day we were there they didn’t even try to serve breakfast, they tried to give us ubereats vouchers instead that barely even covered the delivery to the place. Worst part was when we arrived our room that we reserved was given away so they tried to put us in a suite without the amenities we reserved and the room was in a building that was 2 doors down and so musty I couldn’t breathe. Next room they tried to put us in was a smaller one and the bathroom had not been cleaned. We were finally put in a small room with a small bed for our first night after a long day of travel. Would not stay here again.

The location was great, the room was cozy and spacious enough, and the bed was comfortable. However, the problem was that I couldn't use hot water in either the wash room or the shower. This was particularly unfortunate during the winter season, although everything else was very good considering the cost performance.

This beautiful property was in the perfect location to explore the city on foot. There was easy access to public transit close by and was just far enough from the quarter that it wasn’t loud. I can’t say enough good things about the staff - they were hospitable, kind, and gave us great advice about site-seeing, the city’s history, a getting around the city. I will recommend this hotel to everyone I know! Thank you for having us and taking care of us!

My first morning began with a rather unexpected wake-up call: a staff member's loud, one-sided conversation about the questionable cleanliness of the breakfast supplier. While the staff and rooms were otherwise fine, I opted for a safer breakfast option.

Problems started on day one. Flight was arriving early on a Saturday morning, Called property spoke with a Jason who refused to help me add a day to the stay or allow me to check in early. Ended up paying another $500 for the Friday check in on Expedia which was basically so we didn’t have be out in the streets until 1-4 pm before check in on Saturday. Upon arrival it was clear they had rooms available .Arrived, room didn’t have lights in the bathroom, complained to a very nice female manager that moved us to another very nice room. Stay seemed ok, until night, could not sleep due to all the noise on street , then woke up to no hot water, the wife was extremely upset she couldn’t bathe, there was no one on property when we called to ask for help. Over all straight and simple the property is not suitable for a stay despite how nice the old history and visuals are. As some one who travels a lot I would advise travelers to avoid this property as owners clearly are not taking care of the property.

Earlier this year around February we first experience Melrose Mansion. Our experience has some problems mainly the receptionist who forgot to check us in and left for the day and the rest of the stay he was rude to us.I forgot if his name is Brian or Caleb.it was a bit of a nightmare not having hot water in Donecio room.I gave this hotel another chance and found out Roomza is managing this property. The pre-arrival registration was so easy and efficient. The guest portal to accommodate my needs during stay was the cherry on top! Dyson products available upon request?! I was in cloud 9! I was able to request the Dyson airwrap! That was one of the best luxury options you can get from the portal. LeShawn (I hope o didn’t butcher his name) who welcomed us upon arrival made us feel the southern hospitality.He gave us a quick history of the mansion (which we didn’t get the first time we stayed here). The place is remarkably cleaner this time and the wide array of breakfast selection is so much better than before. The water pressure has definitely gone up a notch since we last stayed here. A lot of improvements since Feb 2024. Also,I wanna add how nice the cleaners were. I also wanna add the Italian toothpaste,warm robes,silk bonnet,mouthwash and the viennese coffee was perfect! Unlimited snacks and drinks too! I can’t wait to come back to New Orleans! I’m claiming this hotel my home in NoLa. What a wonderful stay!
