Only if you’re absolutely desperate!

I drove 30+ miles out of NOLA to reduce cost for accommodation for the Super Bowl. Chose the Motel 6 at Slidell with instant regret. Still had to pay over $150 for the room despite the front door not closing properly, the toilet/bathroom not having been cleaned from the last guest and there being dubious stains on the bed cover. The first time I think I was dirtier getting out of the shower than I was before getting in to it. Shower tray looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks.

You get what you pay for.. Although it was cheap, the water was hot. It was very small no refrigerator no microwaves just two beds in the restroom and the TV you get what you pay for.

We had a dead cockroach stuck on the wall, excessive cob weds in the corners, hair on the shower walls, and speaking of shower... You have to buy shampoo!

We stayed at this location years ago and stayed again when trying to find somewhere affordable the weekend of Taylor Swift. If you go in with realistic expectations you’ll be happy. It’s nothing fancy, but was a very very affordable, safe, mostly clean (floors could’ve used a sweep/swiffering) option for an otherwise expensive weekend. I would stay again if/when I came back to Slidell!
