Location good for cruisers
The lobby was very loud (music) when we arrived so it wasn't the best check-in experience. Not sure if that is a normal thing or not. The room was clean and a good size for my family of 4. It's hard to find a place in New Orleans with 2 queen size beds, but this one has that so it was a good fit for us. We just spent one night here before going on a cruise and the hotel was close to the port so that was great. My husband thought the room smelled musty but I didn't notice and I'm usually pretty sensitive about such things.

My entire hotel stay at the NOPSI was absolutely PERFECT! This historic hotel is stunning fully equipped with everything you need and a great staff. Sean (front desk agent) delivered First Class Service from the very moment I walked in the door. Sean went above and beyond not only accommodating my early check in to NOPSI but extended me one of the kindest gestures given by a hotel. He upgraded (complimentary) my room to the most AMAZING suite I have ever stayed in while visiting my hometown. The amenities were immaculate, rooftop view and access were beyond breathtaking. Sean's customer service and pleasantries are the epitome of what the great city of New Orleans stand for. I will forever be grateful for the warmth, kindness and TOP NOTCH experience at NOPSI. Thank you, Sean for being a blessing while visiting the Crescent City!

Clean, deluxe suite was very roomy which was perfect for our family with teenage boys. Convient and walkable. Only negative was that the hotel elevator allowed access without key card which given events etc. in New Orleans would prefer to see this security actually working.
