Beautiful property (courtyards, fountains); courteous, friendly service; PERFECT location, literally next door to St. Louis Cathedral and a block from Café du Monde and the river and close to everything in the Vieux Carré. Easy walks to Frenchman St. in Marigny AND to the Convention Center area in the other direction. Previously, I had stayed at their sister hotel the French Market Inn, which was also great and also conveniently located, with a super-friendly, helpful staff, but the Place d'Armes was something special, right on Jackson Square, in the heart of the heart of the NOLA most visitors would want to experience.

We loved the proximity to everything we could ever need or want in a visit to the French Quarter. The front desk staff were phenomenal, especially Patrice! The fact that this hotel consists of 85 rooms in 7 buildings is fascinating, as is the history, which makes this choice of accommodations even better, considering the historical significance of the atea. We loved everything!

The location was great, walking distance to all tourist sites and tours. Bourbon street was a block away. There were artists, musicians and shopping within a few blocks. Everyone was friendly and the service was excellent.
