Loved staying at Rathbone Mansions. It was so charming and clean and bed was really comfortable. It had a nice big shower and had a heater in the bathroom too! It was also in walking distance to Port of Call, our favorite burger in New Orleans!

The property is quite old and updates have been made. Our room was comfortable and clean. The door to an upper back entrance was supposed to be closed at all times. However, the door would not close tight. Important to know that there are no elevator and the stairs are many.

I liked the location to downtown and the historic aspect. I wish could have stayed in one of inside entrance rooms versus an outside entrance room to get the historical ambiance.

First time in Nola
The listing for the hotel does not explain that there are two buildings across the street from one another. Additionally you receive an email from the hotel telling you to call in to reserve for parking and for early check-in. You do not need to reserve parking because you may end up in a building that's not even near the parking. There is also plenty of street parking. Additionally the first room we were given the AC did not work and the attendant did not know how the AC worked. She also did not proactively suggest that we go to another room instead she took time to try to figure out how to turn the AC on which we already had done so before she came into the room. After we had asked to be switched to another room she did oblige. However at that point it was past the early check-in window. We then had to request for a refund of the early check in fee instead of it being proactively offered to be refunded. The hotel was safe. I liked how it was gated with a code. It was also only a 5 to 10 min uber ride to the french quarter.

I did not care for all the keypad locks that were on most of the doors. One of the locks the battery died and we were stuck in a hallway which caused me anxiety. All I though of was, what if there was a fire. Apparently, there was another way to get out but we were not notified of that. The room was very dark and musty smelling.

This place was great value for money being not too far from the main hub, we were able to walk to the French quarter. The house was very clean, the rooms sound proof and we had a nice rooftop deck. We would absolutely stay again for the value for money.

Would definitely stay here again. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Great communication both before and during our stay. Well located to explore both the French Quarter & Frenchman Street areas which are both walkable within 10 mins. Felt very safe and plenty of on street free parking in addition to the hotels off street secure parking. Also had a great pool area, water was ideal temperature to cool off on a hot humid day

Very pleasant stay! Quiet room - never heard any noise from other guests. Nice bed, updated walk-in shower was very nice. Stairs don't bother me so no problem there. Clear instructions were provided for late check in. I will be back.
