The staff were all fantastic, friendly, kind and helpful We had to move rooms because the first on smelled heavily of pot. The bathroom in the second one wasn’t very clean, hair and dirt on the floors behind the door and fingerprints and smudges on the glass shelving. Room configuration was weird, it had 3 big steps to the living room area which was hard for my sister with her bad knee

Overall we had a good stay at Sonesta ES Suites, New Orleans Convention Center but the property was not as clean or updated as it looked in pictures. The carpet was stained and dirty; the interior court yard was nice but could use sprucing up; the breakfast was good and the location was convenient. TIP: Hotel valet parking is very expensive at $49 per night so we used the SpotHero App and found the same parking lot for half the price just 259 feet from the hotel.

This hotel has a very nice courtyard with a pool, fire pit, dining tables and lovely landscaping. We ate all our breakfasts in the courtyard and I swam most evenings. The pool was open from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm, and I wish it had been reversed, open from 8:00 am until 10:00 pm! The hotel was also only a few blocks from the convention center which is why we chose it. It was very convenient for my husband attending a conference and he walked there every day. It was a mile to the French Quarter and we walked there every day as well. It was convenient to buses and cable cars and I took the bus to and from the zoo, and the cable car to the Garden District. Another nice amenity was having a full kitchen in our room. Drawbacks were poor room service which was difficult to schedule, not clean to my standards and the hallway was dingy, and too short of pool hours.

I have never stayed at a hotel that had nicer staff. We came here for a planned trip after an unexpected hurricane hit our area. The staff were so kind and friendly to us. The manager even provided them with a basket of treats. I have been to many hotels but I have never experienced the level of kindness the staff showed.

I want compliment the front desk personnel. After asking directions, one lady took me to corner of the block and made sure I knew where to go. When I left for the airport. Front desk lady called a cab for me and came outside to check on me and made sure the cab was on its way. Very homey place.

Reservations were made for two nights without my knowledge. When I called to cancel, I was advised that I’ll be charged only for one night, but instead I was charged for two nights. I never step foot inside the hotel & still was charged. When I called to dispute, I basically I was given the runaround.

Nice place. Decent breakfast. I did find 2 dead cockroaches in the room. Ensure to note that they only do weekly housekeeping. Large room with a kitchen. I’ll stay here again.
