The Royal Sonesta is one of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed at. Very clean, beautifully designed, elegant, the beds and bedding were perfect. The lobby very classy. The pool and area were the best! The people were warm, hospitable and knowledgeable. I will definitely stay here again.

Excellent location, well maintained property and clean rooms. I had booked my resevation via Expedia and there was drink/food credit - at check in the front desk staff did not offer it right at the check in, we had to go and ask for that later next day. Not a big deal but something for the hotel management to train the staff.

Staying at the Royal Sonesta was the highlight of my trip! Wayne was extremely helpful in helping my dad and I and my dog Maggie to our room, and I liked that he inquired about her throughout our stay, made me feel like I was one of the family! If you’re looking to bring your car be sure to use the parking garage to the hotel on Conti. It’s easy to miss, but once you find it your car will be taken care of! We stayed in an interior room with a balcony looking over the pool which was perfect! I love the old charm of the hotel and the staff is great! Make Sonesta your destination when you stay in New Orleans! Five star!!!

I liked the convenience of the location, the quietness I experienced inside the property, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The food at the adjoining restaurant was very good too. I had an amazing time at this hotel. The staff was so friendly and helpful. They always greeted us with a smile and a wonderful conversation. Although it's on bourbon street it was so quiet in the actual hotel. The Sunday pool party was so much fun and it was worth every penny. I will definitely stay again !!

not meant to be offensive, but I think it's important for all employees to know how to speak English. Frustrating to not be able to communicate. I received a discount for my room not being cleaned. My other issue, what is a destination fee??? Thats crazy in itself. $55 forced valet then $25 on top of that. The pool door was difficult to open from the pool side. Other than the above mentioned, it was great. All the staff were great, except the 1 incident, the room was cleaned daily. My daughter and I enjoyed ourselves. we plan to return
