I loved that the building had so much character. It was quiet and I am so tired of cookie cutter hotels. Its close to the french quarter with being atuck in the noise if u wanna get some rest

Sharika at the front desk was awesome! She made my wife and dogs feel so welcome and her overall cheeriness was a great way to start our stay. The property itself is in a great location, the room was clean and well decorated. We are return customers and this property never disappoints.

Historic Charm & Friendly Staff at Old No. 77

Overall, I had a fantastic stay at the Old No. 77 Hotel. The hotel is housed in a beautiful historic building, and it's clear that thoughtful care has gone into preserving its original character and charm. The staff were exceptionally friendly and quick to assist whenever needed, notably resolving an issue with my in-room safe promptly. I stayed in a Premium King room, which featured impressive 15-foot ceilings and original hardwood floors, adding to its unique appeal. While the high ceilings create an airy, industrial vibe, the decor felt slightly sparse, affecting overall coziness. The original floors, though charming, do carry sound easily, and conversations from neighbors above were occasionally audible, impacting my sleep slightly. Additionally, despite blackout curtains, the height of the windows allowed in more ambient light than expected. The bathroom was my favorite part—modern yet timeless. A soaking tub would have been a delightful addition. Minor conveniences like notepads, stationary, and clear mini-bar pricing were missing, and the heater struggled a bit with maintaining warmth during the cold snap. WiFi was available, though it didn't require login credentials, raising minor security concerns. However, these minor details did not overshadow an otherwise memorable experience. I'd happily stay again and recommend it highly for its history, location, and welcoming atmosphere.

Terrible Experience for Solo Woman Traveler

I travel for work and pleasure extensively, and in 20 years of traveling, this is the first experience of its kind. I was made to feel unsafe and unwanted by the front desk staff (Sharde). The 4 star hotel seems to operate like a one star. No one texted me of the room being ready (as they got too busy), then the room's fridge and safe was not working, there was no soda water either (it was on the menu). When I requested it (I need the safe for my hospital laptop and passport), I was assured that it will be corrected in a few hours. 4 hrs later when none of the 3 issues were corrected, and I complained, the staff person said "are these issues really that important in the bigger scheme of things". I was shocked and requested that for me they were and it was part of the 4 star service I was assured, she said that if I was so unhappy I could leave and they would return my money. This was around 930-10 pm and at this stage I felt completely unwanted and felt unsafe staying in a hotel that had issued me an ultimatum - accept bad service or leave. There was no mention that things would be different next day, or any other room offered. I started checking other hotels, and found that there were atleast a few rooms open in the hotel. In any case, I moved to another hotel, my go to in Nola, and left. Such a beautiful hotel but so hollow in the beauty. There are a million high end hotels in New Orleans, just find another one.
