Wow what character this place has. If you want a stark white hotel don't come here. If you want character,coziness and fun details THIS is your place. Felt a little bit like stepping back in time. We WILL be back with friends.

Like spending a few days at your friend's old mansion in the French Quarter. Not the Marriot, not perfect nor is it trying to be. Beautiful old hotel with a wonderful staff.

Property was a little rundown. There was an odor in the room and stained carpet. Also, housekeeping forgot to remove a box of things that the previous guest left. Which made me unsure of the cleanliness of the room/sheets. Just a weird vibe overall.

John was at the desk during the days and he was absolutely amazing! He recommended local places to eat and see. All recommendations were perfect. The room was wonderful and we actually hated checking out. The Olivier was the perfect place to come back to after a day of walking. It is also close to everything. We came back after dark twice and never felt uncomfortable walking along the streets. I would definitely go back!

Beyond charming
I stay in NOLA occasionally for business. The “meeting hotel” is large & chainy on Canal St. I much prefer this charm & a nice morning walk to my day’s meetings. Close to French Qtr wo all the noise (so quiet!). Friendly staff, beautiful “lobby” that’s like your own mansion with fireplace, Mardi Gras beads, & a lovely coffee bar area with snacks, clementines, biscotti & a mini fridge with bottled water 24/7. I was kindly upgraded to a room with living on main floor with courtyard door & bedroom upstairs. It’s amazing I ever left for work! Bed/linens SO comfy. My last night I enjoyed some wine with the courtyard door open listening to the pool fountain & wind in the trees. This is New Orleans charm through & through. Tiny recommendation for room 103, the ceiling over main bath needs a quick wipe down. When I return to NOLA I’d pick this gem for sure. Thanks for a relaxing few days away from the office!

While the property is a little worn around the edges, I still rate it five stars. The location, staff and atmosphere are fantastic. Half a block from Bourbon Street but none of the noise and crowds. It's a 200 year old gem loaded with antiques and a great included coffee,tea and little snack bar. The only place I will stay in the future.

i’ve never stayed in such a beautiful hotel. they have free beverages and snacks and communal places to hang out. the cats were a huge plus! they also let us check in early so we didn’t have to walk around the city with our luggage.

What an amazing place. The room we had was absolutely stunning. My wife was breathless when she walked into the room. The Staff were great and the valet parking is a must.
