Awesome stay right in the middle of New Orleans.
The staff David gave us a warm welcome when we arrived, and gave us several room options for privacy and peace, as the hotel is situated in a bustling corner. We had a inner room to be away from the noise, in spite of its prime location and it was a perfect choice for us. The increase of price of valet from $45 to $50 was a last minute increase which was not communicated in advance. The room is clean and newly renovated. Everything was great other than the TV, which David has warned us and gave us troubleshooting methods. Overall it's a great st

Overall our stay was pretty great! Staff was great and the location was PERFECT. I did noticed we were given a queen room, when we paid for a king but nothing to complain about. Also, there were no windows in our room and that was not only disappointing but somewhat disorienting. Either way, I still highly recommend based on staff, location and safety!

Splendid location, modern & spacious rooms
A great find in a great location! Barely a year old, rooms still feel brand new, are spacious and tastefully decorated. Very comfortable beds and nice common terrace on second floor. Front desk and lobby bar staff where very friendly. However, lobby floorplan and décor not on par with smart room and hallway décor. I asked for a quiet room but got a room facing bustling Canal Street so requested a room change and got a room facing slightly quieter St. Charles Ave. However, single-pane windows still made for a fair amount of street noise. Given that I requested it twice, not sure quiet rooms are possible. Other than that, a nice hotel, although no restaurant or room service and lobby bar not always open.

Pros Service, impeccable Security, the locked front door gives a sense of safety being so close to Bourbon Street Rooms, spacious and immaculately clean Cons The photos are misleading. Got a double with no views and a fake window. Why the heck is there a fake window? Table has a note that offers complimentary bottled water but no bottles. Should you accidentally stop at the Rubenstein shop valet space, they'll look at you like dirt if you're casually dressed and wave you away. It's all owned by the same people. Definitely a clean, well maintained, and the security. Doors are locked that only customers are allowed in which made it feel safer. Not just anyone can walk in the hotel. The staff was attentive because it’s a small hotel feel and very nice! I’m a traveler and this I will say is the best place I’ve stayed in!

Hidden Gem Right Off Canal Street
The staff, especially Dave, the manager, was really friendly and informative. The room was clean and spacious. Decor was pretty basic and our room didn't have a window, but that wasn't a big deal. The room was ready early when we arrived, which made up for that one minor thing. Location was great; right off Canal Street with lots of things to do in close proximity. I would definitely stay there again.

The manager is the best part about this hotel. That being said, the hotel is awesome! David is warm and friendly and welcoming to everyone who passes through the lobby. He makes sure everyone knows he is there to help and makes sure they enjoy their stay. The hotel is clean and well appointed and the bar is a great spot to meet other guests and enjoy conversation. You will not be disappointed in your stay!

To start off I got a text on the day of my reservation asking when I'd be arriving and if I had any questions. I texted back a question and fully expected an auto-bot answer. Nope it was a person. Somehow that made me like this place just for that lol. The manager, Raheem, was so nice and helpful. He took the time to find out my interests and recommended multiple places to go where I would feel comfortable knowing I was concerned with staying safe as I am a female traveling alone. He also took the time to show all the ways the hotel was safe while there. Raheem greeted me and everyone else when coming and going. The lobby was beautiful and my room was very nice. I did have a canal street facing room which came with a bit of noise but I put ambiance music on my phone and slept just fine.

We loved staying at the Rubenstein. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful and clean. We chose to stay in an interior room to avoid some of the external noise from Canal Street which was a good choice. The hallway/room is a bit echoey and our door had a large gap under it because of the floor being at an angle, so we put towels under it to block some of the noise and that helped. Not a complaint, just an observation to be aware of if you book that room. We slept wonderfully and the bed/linens were super comfortable. We would definitely stay here again. It's a great location.

Location was perfect. Right off canal and bourbon st. Staff was extremely friendly. We couldn't figure out how to get the tv and phone to work, but we didn't take the time to ask, since we were out and about. Room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The walls are very thin, so you can definitely hear everything outside, but it didn't bother us too much. Valet is fast and efficient, it cost us$50 a night, but after reading other reviews, we factored this into the cost of our stay and made parking very convenient. We would definitely stay again.

I'm torn between giving a 4 or 5 star rating because our room was very nice. Bed was comfy, big tv, a/c works great, very nice shower( but no shelves in the shower go figure) But, and this is the killer, the Windows are old and had gaps between the upper and lower that I had to use one of the towels to fill up to help keep some noise out. Our room faced canal st. And you could hear every loud car go by, almost like being outside. I can only say for our room that it was loud, it timed down after midnight and we were able to sleep fine. The staff was very nice as well. The hall to get to our room was, well, odd. Had to go up some stairs to get to our room on the 3rd floor. Just kind of weird layout. Again the room was very nice, we'd stay again but ask for a room overlooking the side street. Location couldn't be any better, you're a block away from Bourbon St. There was only a couple homeless guys sleeping outside in the morning....

Staff were very accommodating. Let me check in super early, which was a lifesaver since my flight was early. Room was very clean and I didn't even have to ask for my sheets to be changed, imaging that. Definitely recommend.

I received way too many messages about check in even after I kept replying and answering the questions. Kept being asked about my car and parking even after I replied that I was coming by plane and had no car. At check in, the guy at the desk kept talking and talking and talking to the people ahead of me after the tedious procedure of checking them in, never acknowledging that I was standing there waiting even though I was in plain sight. He also did not apologize for keeping me waiting. I had filled out the form that was sent me earlier, which was supposed to be a pre-check in to expedite actually checking in. I shouldn’t have wasted my time. Check in took the longest I had ever encountered. So inefficient. And I was asked again about my car and told the parking rules and rates AGAIN. So annoying. On top of that the guy was way too chatty and familiar. The hotel was fine otherwise except that there was a lot of noise during the night from the room above mine. The balcony is large and has fun, atmospheric views but it only has one table and two seats so it isn’t comfortable hanging out there if someone else is already there.
