I tried to check in, was given a key for a room that still had someone’s things in it and someone was clearly still staying in. Went back down to get a new key, waited 20 minutes until i was told to follow some rent-a-cop to my new room, when i asked for the key he said he thought I had been given one . Went back downstairs, waited another 15 minutes, was given my new key, got into my room, shower had dirty footprints all over it and the tub had been disconnected from shower so I couldn’t bathe Wantsd to ask for my money back but didn’t want to go through with more shenanagins at the front desk, checked out and went somewhere else.

Disappointing is the first word that comes to mind. Hilton has definitely lowered their standards of when it comes to signature properties. The rooms are in dire need of updating. There was only one drawer in the entire room and we stayed for 6 nights. The light next to bed had a plug behind it however you could not get your plug behind it to plug it in. The majority of the staff were very pleasant and accommodating with exception to Joy that displayed an attitude when needing assistanced with Housekeeeping that had not shown up to our room by 3pm and we were needing to freshen up for dinner reservations with family and had been out in the humidity and 90 degree weather most of the day. I finally had to track down the housekeeping person on another floor for towels, and toilet paper. There are no ice machines so you need to get a gallon ziplock bag of ice from the front desk each time you'd like ice. Sometimes a nuance when you're on the 16th floor. The light on the bathroom did not work all week, thankfully there were two lights, so we at least had one working light. And yes we did request for it be fixed to no avail. I will definitely not be staying with Hilton after this.

We stayed here a few years ago and it was so nice. We had 2 broken lamps that was covered with pictures. The front desk was not personable at all when we and checked in and out. The bartender was nice but had no help and you could tell she was simply overwhelmed. The valet literally talked out using it by telling us all the things that could go wrong by using it. We called in the morning for housekeeping to bring us an iron and board and they never showed up. I honestly never leave reviews but felt that I should this time. We were so disappointed because it was such a great experience before. I will say the security guard there was very personable and helpful. He gave us great food and activitiy suggestions. He was spot on.

The property definitely needs renovation but that doesnt detract from the size of the rooms, the bathroom and the views from the room and the roof top bar over New Orleans. The room was clean too and even though I turned up at 0930 I was allowed access to my room. All in all well worth the money paid
