Really nice hotel and a great room except for a broken chair and unreliable wifi/Internet service. Just here for one night and while it’s a really short drive to the centre of town we enjoyed the 20 min walk along the Main Street to meet friends for dinner.

The shower door is a englefield brand on the shower, They are known for doing this. it needs fixing as its hard to close as it hits on the bottom sill. I am a shower door manufacturer so thats why i made this comment

Parking was atrocious had some unruly people thretning and banging on side of my van also was subjected to abuse over parking needs a big shake up parking wise maybe allocating sepreate parking for paying guest in accomodation and off street parking only for restraunt guests not staying in hotel seems they thrive on non paying accomaodtion guests than ones that actually stay and have put up with abuse from visitors not a nice experince

I arrived mid afternoon checking in was seamless, and staff friendly and welcoming. The room was excellent, and we dined at Marbles as part of a large party. Food great and service was also there was some confusion as to settling the accounts but apart from that had a great stay and I was very impressed.

You get what you pay for. you get a very affordable small room. Check in was unpleasant, I booked with free carparking. On arrival only paid spaces were available. The receptionist said I could stay there for a short while but needed to change spaces once dinner guests were gone. As I said that I was way to tired that long, she “just for once” allowed my car in the hotel’s own paid spaces. Car-parking was a problem every night.

Outstanding service and assistance from staff. I am an amputee and the staff could have not been more helpful and discreet. The food in the restaurant, room service and bar was outstanding and amazing value for money. Could not recommend the entire premises more. We are trying to find more reasons to visit New Plymouth just to stay here again. Thanks for giving us such a great stay! ( 4 nights)

The room we were allocated certainly needed a bit of TLC as it appeared to be rather tied and walls marked which rwas in need of a paint refresh etc Plus the general carpeted walk areas required a bit of vacuuming but otherwise all in all it was good. Bed was very comfortable 👌
