The only thing that would be a negative was that the exterior was being worked on, so we had scaffolding outside of our room. But honestly, it added to the authenticity of stayig in NYC. The location was perfect for dining, safety, and transportation. There was no shortage of great places to eat here and in the surrounding area. Beaituful property!

The only choice in the Upper West Side
The Arthouse Hotel is in a league of its own in comparison to any hotel I’ve stayed at in the UWS. I’ve been shopping for my “go to” place to stay in this area of NYC for the last 6 months. The Arthouse was my first stay in the UWS and is my first choice for every trip from now. I’ve stayed at 3 other hotels in close proximity with similar ratings. The only thing they share with The Arthouse is their prime location.

Great location and great experience overall. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom could use some improvement, there was no table or cabinet to place toiletries and clothes, no hook on the back of the door.

A wonderful property, nicely-sized room, terrific staff. A few items in the room were worn (one of the lamp shades was held on with blue tape) but all in all, a wonderful stay. Recommended!

Doormen - very nice. Desk staff, not so nice. Room decor awful, impossible. Website pictures, misleading. "continental breakfast" extremely disappointing. Adjacent restaurant Serafin VERY good. Under construction, but no indication while booking. Bed - very nice.

When I first saw the room I thought too small, but then again I was in a sour mood from 10 hours travel. This hotel grew on me, the room is fine, the lobby area and little restaurant are real good, price is right, location wow, staff all good, really good, I will go back. One tip, if you want a fridge you have to ask and they will bring to your room, ice is on 12 floor

Hotel the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom and shower were fine. However, there were no lamps by the bed, and the overhead lighting is bright and somewhat garish. The door to the bathroom was difficult to open. However, I would stay there again, Assuming the cost was reasonable
