The staff are so rude here … everything looks so old and used my room had dead roaches right next to the toilet it was very unpleasant. Also asked for new towels and they was so rude about it .. no toothbrush not toothpaste no lotion or soap this hotel is really a scam

Rep behind the desk was very helpful. When I got to my room. the floor was sticky, there were no trashcans nor any hand wash in the dispenser. The shower only has 1/2 a door so the steam/warmth cannot be insulated when you are taking a shower. The final straw was when I saw a roach crawl across the table. I packed up my bag and requested a new room which the desk rep. gave me and apologized. It was an upgrade which was great because it had a refrigerator and I folded up my coat and put in there in case there were anymore pests scurrying around and I kept my bag zipped up with my clothes inside.

The area was not great, but close to a train. Just a very low tier hotel. I feel a bit deceived over the experience. I don't plan on staying here. Nice front desk person, but the hotel itself wasn't great.

I stayed at this hotel as a part of my recent low-cost hotels of Brooklyn tour. This stay started poorly and never improved... My typical pattern is to arrive at the hotel, drop off luggage, go park car and return to settle in. I only say this because it was the return to settle in part of this stay where things started going wrong, way wrong. I ride the elevator to the 7th floor, go to my room, which is directly next to the elevator and swipe my key, it unlocks the door and as I push it open the door is latched from the inside by the security bar. I am tired and this doesn't fully register with me so I close the door, re-examine my key card holder to verify the room #...Yep, right place! I try it again...yep still latched from the inside...OK NOW WHAT? I go to the front desk where the two clerks listen to my story and look at me with expressions that say, "Yeah...so...ummmm what are you going to do about it dude?" Finally one of them realizes that he is sitting behind the desk and therefore..."Oh! That is MY JOB isn't it?" and says, "We can have the floor manager look at it when they come in if you'd like." My reply, "When will that be..." --- "Oh they usually arrive around 8:30 in the morning...We can put you in another room if you like..." All the while I am wondering, wait a minute! aren't you the least bit concerned someone might be in my room right now?!! Apparently this is a regular occurrence at this hotel. One of Five simply because I can't give Zero.

Its right in downtown Brooklyn so the neighborhood and its attendant noise are what it is. But this place has great service and value for the money. Would stay again!

The bathroom toilet didn't have a cover which was strange. Don't know if the ac in my room wasn't working but it just wouldn't seem to get cold. The room was a good size & nicely designed. Staff was friendly and willing to help.

I stayed here before (five years ago I think) and was pleased. This time I had three rooms for at least three days and each of us had awful rooms. My shower didn't have a curtain so water went everywhere for three days. The rooms are worn out. Inside public areas are worse. No breakfast event though stated on Expedia was included. Staff is not friendly at all. Spit on the inside elevator for the entire stay and when I mentioned it the staff laughed. By far one of the worst properties I've stayed at in NYC.

The hotel has a fun vibe and it put us in an area of Brooklyn that we had not explored before. Don't miss the chance to go the place they recommend for breakfast, JK & Sons, it was great. The lobby and meeting room area are nice but our room was in a need of maintenance, nothing major but bunch of smaller things that made us question the value. The hallways carpets had seen better days, we had ants... but the beds are comfy and the room was clean.
