This place is horrible. To begin with, we were assigned a room in the basement - small, dark, greasy floor, stained blankets, and very noisy (thin walls, close to the laundry room, staff discussing outside). We asked to move and they said there was no other room with 2 beds available that night. We eventually moved the next day and the room was better (bigger and with a window), but still full of issues (smelled cigarettes, blankets had cigarette burns, faucet and shower streams were weak, walls were still thin, noisy neighbors, etc…). The neighborhood is also bad (although that’s not their fault), and eventually we realized this hotel is quite used for sex / prostitution - you can rent per hour, rooms have sex furniture and fancy mirrors, there are often hookers around, etc…
The only positive aspect is that one clerk was friendly / helpful; the other one not so much.
We booked this hotel because it was one of the few options close to the Pratt Institute and the reviews didn’t look that bad at the time, but I guess I didn’t look carefully enough…
