Cute place to stay in the city. I loved the old Hollywood posters and dressing room door look to each room. It was perfectly convenient to everything but not in a wildly busy area. I didn’t pay attention to the description that it did not have an elevator. I did get a great workout climbing up to the 5th floor! I would stay again.

I’ve stayed in a few different hotels in nyc, some nicer, some worse. The staff was great! The hotel itself is old, but charming. It was a solid stay, but nothing that would say I’m never going to stay there again or, for that, avoid in the future

We really loved the Chelsea Pines Inn. We were on the 5th floor-no elevator- and that was fine. A good work out. The pack patio was a nice place to hang on warm summer evenings. The AC in the room works great and is not too loud. It's obviously less expensive than The Ritz, so don't go there expecting The Ritz. the staff were all SUPER nice. Some of the language on their website comes off a little off-putting, but nobody there treats you that way. We would stay there again, for sure.
