The staff was super friendly and welcoming! No issue there. The downside was that one of the elevators was on maintenance at the worst times of the day between 9-11 am when everyone is checking out and wanting to leave the hotel. Reading other reviews, I was concerned about the elevator initially. Staying on the 22nd floor and having arthritis in the knees, it was not the best experience having to go down 22 flights of stairs. The hotel staff mentioned that it was announced through a microphone, but they do have the client's information to shoot us a text, call or call through the hotel room phone line to announce the elevator issue. Also, why schedule maintenance on an elevator during rush hour. The hotel is also a bit rundown; our room had a mirror being held up with tape, cracks in the tile and the wallpaper coming off. Probably normal in Chelsea, New York but we were hoping for better conditions from images. Overall, our stay was comfortable but a bit inconvenient.

The television in the room did not work. With both local and streaming channels, the picture would deteriorate and a few minutes later the sound would fade and disappear. I called the front desk and they told me they would send an engineer. When the engineer didn’t appear. I called the front desk again and then the engineer did show up. He did not fix the problem. I got the distinct impression staff knew about this problem. No adjustment was offered. The other issue is a structural one. The hotel has 25 floors and a basement level and only two elevators; as a result, there can be a bit of a wait for an elevator. Visitors need to build the wait into their plans. Other than these issues, this is a nice hotel with good staff.

A great stay. Property is nice a quite new. Staff was very helpful. The only downsides are the rooms are quite small and there’s only one set of elevators so getting up and fine can be slow. Overall a great stay and I would recommend. The Empire State Building view did not dissapoint. A great place to stay when visiting New York on a budget. Walkable to so many iconic sites in NYC.
