This hotel is appropriately named “Dream”, because all night long you will wish that you had booked a different location. The water temperature of the showers and sink is not hot enough, tepid at best. When this was brought to the attention of the front desk (twice) they blamed ConEd (the power provider) and said that it affected the whole block. This sounded like an excuse so we stopped next door at Maritime, used their lobby bathroom, and of course…the water was hot. Noise is another serious concern due to the proximity to several nightclubs, Tao and PhD, both of which you will hear early into the morning. They claim to offer “sound masking” in the rooms but of course this was totally insufficient and did nothing to actually dampen the noise. Do yourself a huge favor, and stay anywhere else so you can actually get some sleep.

It would be a huge improvement if they invested the cost of a one-night stay into updating the 230 sq ft room’s condition and fixing issues, as well as refreshing the lobby area. The room itself only has a few bottles of alcohol, with no other amenities provided.

We have stayed at other Dream properties in the past - this one was is tired, a bit in need of refreshing or a deep clean. Numerous items promoted on the website were not available- rooftop bar, restaurants … double rooms had 2 bath towels and when asked for more eyes were rolled, some staff were friendly others could care less. I had really hoped for a better stay.

I was annoyed that the room was not ready by 3:00. We arrived @ 12 and asked for an early check in. One of the rooms was available close to 3:00 and the other room was not available until 3:20 after several phone calls to ask them to get the room inspected so we could check in. For a one night stay, it should have been ready by 3:00. Otherwise the room was comfortable and clean.

Super loud on the weekends
Extremely loud at night due to the club downstairs. We were in the 11th floor and still our room was vibrating from the music. Never stay here on a weekend unless you don't plan to sleep.

We had a spectacular view of the empire state building. Room was modern, clean, comfortable bed, nice shower. Great location, across the street from Chelsea Market, subway at the end of the block. Night club on roof top deck, with incredible view, Tao next door.
