The staff was super nice and welcoming. They upgraded me to a bigger room at no cost. They were super kind and on top of things. The room was clean and spacious but the lighting was not the best. Design was interesting, not my taste. Overall, great hotel!

Nice, great location, noisy and bright at nite
Location was noisy at night. Billboard lights flashed in window all night. The shades rolled down but the blackout curtains were missing to deaden the noise and block the light.

Pleasant weekend in midtown.
My wife and I were in NYC for a long weekend of museums and a Broadway show. Franklin checked us in on Saturday and was very helpful with things to do in midtown. Dream is in an excellent location for many theaters, restaurants, and MOMA. We would stay there again.

First day checkin was wonderful, after that there seemed to be no staff in the lobby. My son and Aiden would have our arms full and no one rushed over to get the door. Had to go into the restaurant to get a bucket of ice? At times had to stand at the bar and wait for ice. Didn’t like that. Also thought this was supposed to be a kid friendly hotel didn’t really get that vibe at all. From the terrace bar. I don’t know I had higher expectations. Huge plus the beds were super comfortable.

I picked the hotel based on proximity to Carnegie Hall, which can’t be better. The extra fees added up fast. The condition of the room we were given was sub par at best and shabby at worst. If you want a place to sleep with clean bedding and no sign of bugs, this will fit the bill. If you’re looking for a well maintained facility, spacious rooms, light blocking curtains or a coffee pot, keep looking.

Hotel was fine but the room was a little dated. Very comfortable bed with a lot of fresh soft towels. Lot of traffic /construction noise in the area at night but that’s NY for you. Traveled with a 13 yr old who wanted to see the rooftop but they wouldn’t let us up because he was under 21 . Disappointing. Also got hit with an unknown $30 facilities fee. Not sure what that was for, I didn’t use any facilities.

The staff at the Hyatt Dream Manhattan is very accommodating and friendly. The rooms are small but serviceable. The housekeeping was available everyday to tidy up and provide clean linens. Overall, the place is a bit tired but the location is great and the Penthouse restaurant is fantastic.
