Check in was quick and easy. At check out there was a $276 mistake on my bill. I had to prove that they were charges which had already been paid, but when I did the charges were taken off immediately. Even though the carpet in my room may have been vacuumed it was so old and worn that it looked filthy. I did not put my bare feet on it. Also, it was very cold in NYC when we were there and the windows in the room don't block any of the cold. In addition to the bed coverings I slept with my winter coat over me. Turning the thermostat up was somewhat helpful, but it was working against the cold coming off the windows. The self closing doors are adjusted such that there's no way to quietly close them and they're loud enough to wake you up every time someone comes back to their room late at night or leaves early in the morning. The bathroom was superb with beautiful new tile and high end fixtures and toilets. Maybe Hyatt is in the process of refurbishing the rooms. Location was perfect for us, staff was thoughtful, helpful, and knowledgeable.
