The property is tired and the rooms run down. The blinds didn't work so they were permanently down. The paint on the bathroom door chipped badly. The carpet was not very clean. There was no breakfast or coffee in the hotel, no water and no facilities - and the hotel staff was not very friendly or helpful. The bar is ok but only open at night. The only thing still good about the hotel is its location.

Some of the paint was coming off, wood on the bathroom door was chipping, Room smelled bad as soon as we walked in. When we checked the bathroom it smelled like pee, towels looked dirty. Could hear the people next to us. Hallway was really dark.

Great Location and Value
Great location right across the street from Lincoln Center. I booked this hotel because of the great price compared to places I normally stay in nearby CPS. Room was very clean but super small - queen bed, no desk chair, small closet. Bare bones on the extras. No coffee pot in the room. No room service. Rooftop restaurant nice but didn't open until 2 pm. Many nice restaurants nearby.

With my daugher at Fordham Univ LC it was very convienent to get to her and she get to us; loved the location. Plus all the public transportation was easy to access and easy walking distance. Front desk staff and bell men were very friendly and helpful.

The people were great. The only problem was there was no coffee. There was none in our room or none in the lobby. We thought that was odd. There was a Starbucks next door, but obviously we had to spend additional money.

Outdated facilities, a completely ineffective air conditioner, the constant noise of a noisy fan, damp carpets, broken hangers, cockroaches appearing from the drains... you can experience just about every hallmark of a "bad hotel" here. But by far the worst part was the front desk staff. While there are a few decent younger employees, the short, middle-aged man with glasses and a buzz cut was shockingly rude. During my stay, I was subjected to drilling noises from renovation work from 9 to 5, and when I requested a room change, this staff member yelled at me to stop complaining and even used racial slurs. As I walked away in disbelief, he shouted that we don't care about the reviews written by stupid guests, and that I could write whatever I wanted. It's a wonder how someone like him has survived in this industry.

Staff very dismissive and unaccommodating. Very strict about check in even though rooms ready earlier. Room smelled like mildew from lack of ventilation in bathroom (no fan or way to get moisture out). Staff very rude when we called down to ask to be moved due to smell and unhealthy air. AC/ fan in main living area went out during our stay but was fixed. Peeling paint in bathroom. Slime mold in shower crevices. Random nail in wall from artwork that was probably there. No standard amenities for a 4-star hotel such as coffee in room or optional water for purchase. This is not a 4-star hotel.

There was no day light at all in the room. It should not be a hotel room. At check in nothing was mentioned. Only in the next day it was relized.
