My friends and I each split rooms. The walls are very thin and we could hear each other talking. The AC did not work and because the room is small, it quickly became very humid and we happened to be staying during 80° weather. In order to get some air, we were left with no choice but to open the window, but given it’s NY, it was extremely loud to continue keeping the window open. Therefore, it was SO difficult to sleep at night. I figured there would be no point in calling maintenance since it was late at night already, we were leaving the next morning, and because I doubt it would be fixed immediately. Once I checked out, I asked for an itemized bill to be sent to my email. They asked for my email, gave it to them, told me it would be sent right away, and left. A few hours later (I’m already at JFK at this point), someone called to ask if I checked out because there was a note that said my belongings were still there. That was impossible since I had everything of mine with me… Disorganized. I asked them again since I was on the phone with them for my itemized bill to be emailed to me since I didn’t receive it. They told me they were never given an email. I don’t understand the lack of communication and the disorganization. Don’t be fooled by the photos and rooftop bar. Our stay here was moderate at best. I will not be coming back.
