Very Good

The room was small but very clean the bed was a bit too low to the ground comfortable though the noise outside was a bit to loud it sound like an air conditioner I had to turn the heat away up because there was a draft in the room I would stay again but in a bigger room
Was going to give them 3 stars overall but then they never came and cleaned my room on my last day I was there after being gone for 12 hours all day. I had food in my trash that I was hoping could be taken out. The housekeeping also would really just make the bed and change the towels. When I called the front desk at 9pm upon arriving back, I was told that housekeeping wasn't able to come at that point and they would send someone up with clean towels. They would not fold up any clothes or organize any bathroom items which has been pretty standard in most of my other hotel experiences. They would take a night shirt that was thrown on the bed, make the bed and then throw the night shirt right back on top of it, not even stopping to fold it up and leave it neatly on the bed. It felt a bit careless and made me feel like they probably weren't cleaning the rest of the room very well either.
The room was also dark. I booked a standard queen room, and my windows were facing into a light well so it got very little sunlight. There was a loud heater that made the room kind of noisy to sleep in.
On top of that, they charge you an amenity fee every day that feels unjust based on how they don't even offer you coffee in room, or a carafe with any water.
A few pros amongst all of that. The room is nicely designed, as is the rest of the hotel itself. The bathroom shower had nice water pressure and heated up quickly.
Overall the stay was nice and went as expected, except for an argument in the hallway at 2am between a disgruntled couple that ended up with a call to the cops.
Bed was terribly uncomfortable. Loud music each night till after 2. Could hear neighbors having sex. Thermostat was malfunctioning and the room was so hot we had to open the windows in January. Sink faucet was constantly leaking, was loose, and one of the valves was installed backwards. Shower head was damaged and spurted most water pressure away from you. Lights were flickering. Window blinds were broken.
I stayed here 2 years ago and really enjoyed it. But it seems they just aren't maintaining the hotel well.
I probably had the smallest room in the building but it was very comfortable and well designed. Loved the staff and the neighborhood. Boring review. Everything was great. Recommended
Nice place decent cleanliness staff are on a level but they do accept animals in the rooms. The rooms they are clean enough not spacious whatsoever even though we had one of the largest.
I loved everything about this hotel. My only complaint, which is not really a complaint, is that the Broken Shacker closed at 12 PM on a Saturday when the website said 1 or 2 AM. My family and I were meeting up and we loved it! Staff is super friendly and the Cafe is good food at a great price. Many train stations nearby too!!
Property is in excellent condition although older. We stayed in a Private Quad (4 people, 2 bunk beds) and somewhat tight space especially for the upper beds due to low ceiling. I would suggest removing the large TV screen in front of the window to create more space and bring in more light. 2 robes provided, clean and modern bathroom and fresh towels. Staff are friendly and helpful. Great location, especially if you don’t mind walking, near subway stations. For short stays and great prices, I’d stay there again.
