Although out of the main area for Manhattan, the location is great - super quiet for a great nights sleep, but still really convenient with the F train and cable car. The rooms themselves are lovely, spacious, great bathrooms too. The rooms don't come with tea and coffee making facilities which for us would have made it perfect, but this is fairly common to miss in US hotels. Free hot drinks were available in the lobby though. Overall a great stay, will book again on our next trip.

I have been working in NYC for over 30 years and am very familiar with Roosevelt Island. My company installed the curtain wall at the school by the bridge and I surveyed the old hospital for asbestos removal that The Graduate sits on. The island has come a long way. It's in the City but, it's own slice of paradise now. I was pleasantly surprised that there was a hotel there and that we were welcomed so warmly. Valet to Front Desk. Convenient to my children in Astoria and a tram or subway to Manhattan. All future visits there we will stay at The Graduate.
