Hotel had scheduled to close for remodel but didnt notify us prior or during our stay until the last day there since it was the day they were shutting down. The restaurant/coffee shop were not open while we were there. The air did nit work. The drink machines in the hallways had been removed.

Hotel was in a great location. It was not very clean. There was a wall pealing in the bathroom with mold. The shower was old and looked horrible. Shower curtain had yellow stains. The water was warm and would turn to freezing cold during the shower. We were only given 3 towels, no bathmat and 1/2 a roll of Tp. It was not at all like the pictures and there was no food service at. Which we were depending on.

Horrible experience, room cleaning was not done every day, they didn’t store luggage when we had to check out and asked people to pay for external storage places. No coffee shop, very rude staff.

Location is the only perk
The location in Times Square was amazing, as was the view, and the service was excellent. This is what you are paying for and getting. Everything else is mediocre at best. The bed was one of the worst hotel beds I've slept on - I've had a better hotel bed in very cheap hotels. There are no microwaves or refrigerators in the rooms, so do not plan on keeping any leftover food! The paint was peeling off the bathtub, the a/c setting was not changeable (it is just whatever the hotel is set at, you can crack the window, though, if the temperature outside works), and there is only one rolling office-type chair to sit in in the room other than the bed.

BEWARE! The property is not as advertised. It does not have a bar, nor does it have a coffee shop; however, these are advertised within the elevators. There are no vending machines or a convenience store within the hotel. We had to ask for water and the request resulted in an attitude from the person at the front desk. Additionally, upon checkout, I was charged $40 a day service fee after paying for my stay on Expedia. I was asked for my credit card when checking in for incidentals. I was not informed until check out that there would be the service fees. I’m still confused about what service was provided, especially since there was nothing available for us. This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in at this price point.

We have stayed at Crowne Plaza for the last 22 years. Their cafe was closed, restaurant and bar closed, no room service, electric outlets in bathroom did not work, had to keep asking for towels, etc. We had to check out today at 11:00 and didn't fly out till 7:00. They informed us then they would not od our luggage and we could taje it 3 blocks to store it plus a $30 fee. Had to take it down 2 flights of steps. I feel we should be reimbursed for thos expense since it's usually not a fee and compensate d somehow for not having the ammenities they advertised. Very disappointed.
