Great staff but small and old rooms
Not a great location but we knew that when booking as the hotel prices in NYC are ludicrous. This hotel was small, old, in a dodgy looking street. Rooms were tiny, if travelling as a family with more than one suitcase I’d reconsider booking here, there just isn’t any room to move. However, the staff are absolute gems, so lovely. The rooms, while old and tight are very clean. Was just a bit disheartening to know our most expensive hotel this trip was also the worst. But looking at NYC prices this was bound to be the case

The room space was too small for a 3 member family. Also the bathroom exhaust was faulty, iron stand and floor was dirty

The check in was terrible. The clerk tried to tell me I had a $60 when I was paid in full. She had to call a manager. They blamed a new software you have. Then the key they gave me didn’t workin the door and I had to come back down from the 15th floor while I was rushing to leave for an event. The hallway outside my room must have been 90 degrees. And the cold water faucet in the bathroom sink was only a drizzle. There wasn’t even a tiny fridge to keep a bottle of water in. All this for $600 a night!

We did not like the plastic cutlery and paper plates which we were obliged to use for our breakfast. Also the dining area was quite stark and not cosy or inviting. The accommodation was excellent and very well cleaned and serviced. The bed was very comfortable and the shower room and the toiletries provided were excellent
