The location in midtown is nice making a lot of things walkable. The hotel is showing in age. The bed in my room was sagging towards the foot of the bed. The tv did not have clear reception or the option to sign in to Netflix. Breakfast was good and the staff was nice, but the hotel needs some updates.

Staff very friendly and welcoming. Hot breakfast every morning. Close to subway. Target was a 7 min walk. Loved that we were able to drop off our luggage since our arrival was early morning. Also loved they kept our luggage for us the last day since we had a later flight. Did not rent a car took subway everywhere. Great Location!

Customer service and room cleaning

Great location. Bathrooms could use an upgrade. Customer service could have been better. My daughter came down with a stomach bug and threw up in the room. We made numerous attempts to get our room deep cleaned. Not only for us and the smell but for the next guest that come in. The only thing that was done was spraying a cleaner. Nothing on the carpets or vacuuming. Again we made numerous request to get the room cleaned but it didn't happen. We even asked if we could get cleaning spray and we would do it ourselves.

We stayed here 2019 for my husbands 30th, and then this week for my own 30th. Back then, they went to the trouble of getting him balloons and a Teddy to celebrate. I hadn’t even messaged, they just noticed in conversation it was his birthday. This time, my husband did drop them a message as he wanted to make sure I got the same - well, they got me a whole cake!! Like a proper cake, balloons, rose petals, even little pretend candles. Regarding the hotel - it’s cosy, we had a 3 year old and the two big beds were plenty for us. The bathroom simple and clean, a single wardrobe and desk area plus tv and wifi. I found the fridge and cupboard really useful for my son’s snacks. Breakfast is 6-10 which is a good time for us, it follows a similar theme each day but we tended to have breaky at the hotel every other morning and then a nearby diner for others. On arrival we were given a good bag of snacks and water, there’s usually always a cake or cookie in reception each day too and a constant coffee / tea making stand downstairs too (free). It’s not far from 42nd street / time square so we could get everywhere we wanted to by subway - if you’re travelling with a pram, get to 42nd by the bus terminal as there’s elevators. WiFi was always available too. A gorgeous pizza restaurant nearby is Capizzi. We went on our last trip and this trip. Love it.

Aside from almost being bitten by a spider, our stay was great! Staff was friendly and accommodating, guest were also friendly, and the location (heart of NYC) was amazing. We could get anywhere, any day within a 3 minute walk to the train station.

the rooms are extremely tight and congested so it’ll be hard if your traveling with family. the vending machines do not work and they don’t allow any door doordash delivery people to come up to your door to deliver food. the tv didn’t have netflix or youtube. only good thing is that they would refill our towels and stuff and clean our room when we would be outside
