A solid, high quality, friendly hotel

The staff were amazing from start to finish, especially the bell boys who were super friendly every time we entered or left the hotel and were very helpful when we left by keeping hold of our luggage for a few hours after checkout and organising our taxi to the airport. The cleaners were also amazing and concierge was helpful for directions and recommendations. We felt very safe at the hotel which was up there on our priority list for what we wanted from a hotel. The only few things that stopped this from being a 5 star review are: the air conditioning was quite loud, there was a slight drain smell in the bathroom on the final evening and final morning. And finally on check out when it came to pay the charge we were expecting, there was also some additional charges which we felt we weren’t made aware of fully when we checked in. We were aware of the $45 fee per night of the stay and we were also told on numerous occasions that we could spend $20 on food and drink each day which was free. We were not told that gratuity and taxes were not included in that so we were ordering drinks to the room we didn’t really want or need just to use up the free money really, and in the end it bit us because we had to pay an additional almost $40 on top of the expected charge. If we’d have known, we wouldn’t have ordered drinks to the room. Other than that, we had a brilliant stay and would return if we came back to NYC.

I LOVED everything about this hotel & I can't wait to come back on my next vacation to NYC! The shower was unique & super-soothing. The room was beautiful & the breakfast options were amazing. The celebrity memorabilia was interesting & fun! I loved the image of Bruce Springsteen on one of the doors in my room. I also loved the Gift Shop inside the hotel. The location was very convenient & close to restaurants. Lastly, the staff were very nice & helpful. Again, I'll be back!

New York vacation

This hotel is excellent. The staff were all friendly and helpful throughout the hotel and the location is perfect. Easy access to times sq, and the subway, and a short walk up to Central Park. Would definitely recommend this hotel, and would stay there again if we are ever back in New York
