To properly assess this location, it is necessary to compare it to local hotels. This is exactly what makes the difference. Most hotels are run down, tired and in need of overhaul, this location is clean, neat, somewhat in the middle of nowhere, but from moment you walk in and all the way to the room, there is no fear of ‘what have I done? where in the hell I am staying overnight?’. It is my new stay at location, even though I have to pay toll to get over bridge to the boroughs.

A night stay outside the city
We arrived around 8:30 at night. Our check in was quick and the staff was friendly. We were able to get to our room right away and unwind from our long travels. The room was clean, a little outdated, but very comfortable. The rugs in the hallway were stained, so we were nervous that the room would not be as clean as it was. The lobby was beautifully decorated for Christmas. It was about 1/2 hour from the city but an easy drive. The location was great. We enjoyed our stay!

The staff at the hotel were cordial and helpful. The property was clean and in a convenient location to access the highway and route to the Staten Island Mall. The room was very nice and well maintained. It was nice to have a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker available. The lobby was nicely decorated for the XMAS holiday. The only complaint was loud noise in the hallways after midnight (one night) due to a wedding that had taken place. Maybe have an etiquette pamphlet distributed to show respect for all customers? Anyway it was an awesome few days.

There is not one thing we did not like! It was perfect from the beginning to the end of our stay! The staff are all amazing. The Hotel is beautiful. The restaurant & bar were awesome! When we get back to NY we will definitely be staying here!!!

Thanksgiving holiday
This hotel was chosen due to convenience of location. The only positive experience about this hotel was being able to check in early. The hotel entrance and lobby was relatively clean and welcoming. The hotel room was clean but was furnished with furniture that looked like it came out of a cheap flea market. Worst of all was an obvious water leak due to heavy rain in front of the 2nd floor elevators creating a hazard getting in/out of the elevators. For what I paid to stay at this hotel, it definitely did not meet expectations. I would not recommend nor stay at this hotel again. I have stayed at cheaper motels with better accommodations.

This hotel was very nice. Excellent location. Easy on and off highway , amazing choice for food. Excellent service, all hotel staff were very helpful and polite. Very upbeat attitude from everyone. In hotel restaurant had fantastic dinner. Our Room was huge and clean. The only negative I can mention is the mattress is overdue for a replacement. They are doing remodeling so maybe that is on tap for replacement. All in all 4 1/2 stars on 5 star scale
