Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities
My recent 8-night stay at the Holiday Inn in Downtown Brooklyn was quite disappointing. For a hotel that charges an average of $320 per night, the facilities and services were well below expectations. I’ve already been woken up twice by the constant door slamming and loud laughter from the room next door at first night of stayed at early morning around 2 am and 5 a.m. when i tried to contact the front desk at that time, the wireless phone was stuck in charging mode. The hotel facilities are outdated, and the elevator doesn't require a key card, anyone can access any floor. The room's soundproofing is also poor. The tea bags in the room looked like they had been soaked in water and looked like an attempt had been made to tear them open but without success. when i submitted an issue through the booking platform, platform’s agents said the hotel not responded to them after they sent four emails to the hotel. Despite posting a review and attempting to contact hotel management through the booking platform, I received no response or follow-up from the hotel staff regarding the issues I raised, even by the time I checked out. It’s clear that guest feedback is not a priority for them. I won’t be choosing or recommending Holiday Inn or any hotels in the IHG group in the future, as their management practices and service quality are seriously lacking. This hotel was totally not family friendly and guests feedback not being valued. what a waste of such a good location.
