The reception desk people were helpful and efficient. They understand the fast-paced nature of the business and handle it well. The room was clean and up to date. Shower was excellent. Plenty of hot water. Breakfast was of good quality, although the seating space was like flying coach, but it worked. There's a small patio in front of the hotel where you can breakfast or relax. Space is limited, but you can snag a table with umbrella if you're patient. We wanted a reasonably placed nice place to sleep near the Manhattan action and we found it here. Very adequate.

I purchased through Expedia. Paid for parking and an upper floor. Arrived at hotel and they have no parking. I was instructed to park three blocks away. Had to drag my luggage three blocks to and from the hotel. Walking back to the hotel, passed by two other parking lots that were cheaper than where Holiday Inn informed me to park. Paid extra for an upper floor and there is not view. Had to look at an old building out the window. Took much longer to go up and down in the elevator. There were only two elevators. Breakfast items that should be hot were cold. Limited seats for breakfast for the number of guests and was very crowded.

Upon check-in, the employee told us that the water in the fridge was not free, but for sale. But, we noticed everyone else was taking the water bottles freely. Next day, another employee even let us take them freely too. How strange that the first employee told us that it had to be paid for. The towels initially set in our room were dirty. When we asked for more towels, the new ones were dirty too with a brown stain on it... I had to go downstairs twice about towels since the phone in our room would have trouble working (no dial tone, silence). And when it did work, no one picked up (twice). Our room had 2 beds. Both top covers had red stains on them, which looked really weird. Also, the walls are so thin! We could hear every sound from people slamming their doors, talking, yelling, laughing, etc. It sounded like there were other people in our room. It made it hard to sleep at night. When we visit NYC again, we will not stay here especially for the price we paid. Our experience was not great and uncomfortable considering what happened on our first day (water bottle and towels).

Nice stay for a first trip to NY.
Very nice and small hotel between midtown manhattan and Chelsea, at walking distance from the Madison Square Garden and Penn State station. Well located if you plan to visit NY’s key exhibitions, well connected to the metro lines. Check-in/out at the Hotel was easy. Breakfast is OK, a bit crowded in the morning given the small kitchen area but space at the terrace of the hotel helps a lot. Overall a 4-4.5/ 5 hotel I will definitely go back to if I am visiting NY again !

Great stay with a great breakfast
We came to NYC for a couples getaway. The hotel was clean and the staff were extremely helpful. We arrived early and the let us check in early. The continental breakfast was great with lots of options. My only complaint was our jetted tub didnt work and the elevators seemed to have problems so most days only 1 was running

Room is small but clean. Deposit $150 USD for 3 nights. There is a safe for important items. Breakfast is good: bagel, bread, scrambled eggs, small baked potatoes, oats, milk, coffee, tea , cup cakes, apples, oranges. 10 minute walking to to Amtrak Penn station. Close to Times Squares, Empire State Building, Korea Town, Macy's.

The staff was very professional and nice. The breakfast was most of the days great and saved us tons of time (my only suggestion is to add more vegetarian options). Rooms are very clean. the location is quite but still walking distance to Times Square. The metro station is right around the corner. The hotel was a great choice for our first trip to NY.

Room is generally clean but space is very cramped for 2 queen beds. Also great to have a bottle of water per person per day as well as continental breakfast included in the room rate. The street where it is located is convenient whether taking a subway or uber/lyft. There’s also a convenience store along 8th avenun however, that side is quite sketchy. Would recommend that guests stay on the side of 7th/6th avenue when looking for stores/dining options.
