DO NOT STAY HERE!!! A terrible experience. Walls had uncleaned liquid spills, fabrics were stained, dirt/filth on sheets. Radiator repeatedly made a click sound - every other second - that made it impossible to sleep. When we spoke to the General Manager, Gabriel, he apologized and said that if we reached out to Hotels.com about a refund, he would authorize it. Based on his word, we quickly checked-out and moved to a new hotel. When Hotels.com reached out to the Lux 57 about a refund, they did not respond which, per Hotels.com, equates to a refund denial. I spoke to the AGM, and multiple front desk attendants and none were able to resolve the issue. I left messages and sent emails, but never received a response from the GM. Gross room and deceitful service.

Wow! What a gem.
What a nice surprise! If you want to spend the night in a nicely-appointed clean room with very good service, then this room is a winner. Highly recommend. I plan on staying here again regularly on business trips to Manhattan.

Don't expect too much here
I found the staff to be pleasant and friendly enough, but this is a pretty run down place. My room was not well cleaned when I arrived, nor during my stay. The heat is so loud it kept me up and it's inaccurate. My room was the cheapest, I think, and large. There is a coffee tea maker, but no coffee or tea. It's bare bones but the location is very good. Wish it was cleaner.

The front desk staff, Raymond, was especially helpful and kind as were the others I interacted with. Overall, the property is aging and could use some upgrades (especially the bathroom tile and sink). On the other hand, the price was fantastic, so great value for the money. My only real complaint is that the bed was very uncomfortable.

Bathroom sinks are not practical, faucet is too low and the sink itself is non functional. Rooms need a better layout. No fan in the bathroom?? Noisy, yes!!! Hotel alarm went off late at night and that was not acceptable. Staff was pleasant, Dennis and Daniel at luggage. Elevator guy was awesome too!
