I really like this hotel. The location on the Upper West Side was perfect for our stay. It's a beautiful, charming building, w recently refurbished rooms, that are rather spacious for NYC affordable accommodations. Most importantly the staff is great; professional, welcoming and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

If you’re looking for a place to say in NYC, look no further! This place is wonderful, and my new go to hotel for UWS. Five stars all around. Warm and friendly staff, beautifully appointed rooms. Lovely cafe next door with excellent coffee (and it’s very straightforward to redeem the voucher). Great happy hour. I will definitely be back! And hopefully very soon. As a side note, as someone who prefers stairs over elevators, the stairwells are so nice! Such a nice departure from most of the hotels I’ve stayed at; the stairs here are very well lit and inviting.

We appreciated the elegance of the property, even if our room was quite petite. The sink had a bit of a draining problem, but aside from that, the room was okay. The staff were friendly, which was great. We were just a little surprised when the 'breakfast included' turned out to be $10 bakery vouchers instead of a buffet.

Great place The staff is very friendly and attentive. I called about my AC and they fixed it within minutes. They give $10 vouchers per day as well for the cafe which was great.

Very comfortable clean rooms. Of course NYC size. Friendly, professional and helpful staff. Location is in a quiet area (for NYC), away for Midtown hustle bustle and noise. Central Park is a short walk away. 2 blocks to 79th station with the local 1 train. A short 5 blocks to 72nd St starion with local 1 or express 2 or 3 trains. Times square is just a couple stops on the express. Penn Station 1 stop further. Typical fare $2.90 I was told you can tap a credit card at the turnstile but I didn't try. I bought the refillable card, but there are plans to phase that out. Thankfully no tokens like back in the day. So hotel is convenient, via subway to the major theaters.

The Belleclaire Hotel was quite lovely for our two-day Memorial Day weekend stay. The room was quite spacious (by Manhattan standards, anyway) and the location on the UWS is close to the subway, many great restaurants and Central Park. The hotel was clean and well maintained despite its age and the staff were personable and helpful. Price was reasonable for the UWS, Notable plusses included a good fitness center and vouchers for the very good bakery attached to the hotel. Would definitely stay there again.
