Location is great, one block from times square. Rooms are large and beds are comfortable. The rooms could use better insulation from the street and hallways. Staff could ne better trained.

Got there at night to check in with my family from a late delayed flight and they didn’t have room available. They tried to merge us 4 to another room with my other family reservation then move us to another room next day. Staff Supervisor was a pos. Offered discount then didn’t award when I asked for it. Then said I can go to another property since they couldn’t accommodate us to the room I booked. I get screwed bc they’re incompetent. Ended up in a tiny room with 2 beds bc it was either that or leave. It was 10pm with my two little kids. I wasn’t going to leave and scramble looking for another hotel. Crap service. Crap supervisor at night with his confused partner. Should close their doors for maintenance and clean rooms for bed bugs. Blood spots on sheets. Nasty pos hotel. Cruise ship size rooms. Go somewhere else ppl. Not worth the money they charge. Better/bigger rooms close by-Check the Muse Hotel

Before we even got through the door, the bellman opened the door for us to get the stroller through. As we walked in, we were greeted and pointed in the direction for check-in. Although we got there before check-in time, they gave us the option to store our luggage until check-in so that we would be able to explore Times Square. The service was great from start to finish!

I’ve stayed at Hotel Edison before with better results. I was put on the 21st floor where remodeling was going on. There was a terrible banging noise from the heat/air unit that kept me awake. I can’t help thinking that being a senior solo female traveler puts me at risk of being overlooked.

Overall, this hotel is average. You are definitely paying for the location. Our room was fine however the sink sprayed everywhere and the shower didn’t get hot. There wasn’t any mini fridge in the room and it would’ve cost extra. There was also an extra 50 dollar fee for each day we were staying for the use of the facilities and breakfast, which I didn’t even know about. Furthermore, the staff weren’t very helpful or kind

Great stay. 4 of us stayed in one room. Spacious for 4. Bathroom was tiny. Hotel had a lot of character. Bar area was small. Our only complaint was the window washing equipment was outside our window and the cables kept banging against the building all night. There was also a constant banging of the pipes. If you’re a light sleeper, this would be a big annoyance. The hotel was within walking distance to Time Square and surrounding areas.

Things we loved about the Edison: could not ask for a better location for Broadway shows, Time Square and great eats in Hell’s Kitchen. We appreciated the excellent security and the cleaning staff were lovely. Things that were just okay: the “complimentary” breakfast was pretty basic and you absolutely pay for it with the daily $40 “resort fee”(definitely did not feel there were any resort benefits). They did give us additional vouchers for our party of 4 which was nice but, again, you are paying for this. Downsides: We were on the 7th floor facing 47th street and it was very noisy all night with street traffic, horns honking and trash collection. The rooms are basic and dated. If you want a fridge there’s an $30 fee. Also while Expedia did get us a deal on our first night the other nights were still exorbitantly expensive. Pay attention to the fine print and do the math so you actually get a deal! We had a great family trip to NYC but the city lacks the hospitality it was once known for, and literally everything is over-priced (especially for us as Canadians with the exchange).

Received email directing me to check in online, then use a kiosk upon arrival and receive a key “within seconds.” Kiosks did not work; stood in line to check in via the traditional, cumbersome, old fashioned way. Would not have been such an issue had I not been told I was “checked in.” Annoying.
