The staff were welcoming and friendly. The location was amazing. The building is beautiful. Very art deco throughout. The rooms were clean and the bed comfortable. Small bathroom but clean with large bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided. My room was a little dark as the main light is in the entry. There was a lamp on the desk and a small lamp on each side of the bed head. Even when they were all turned on they did not provide enough lighting. The room itself was very noisy from the cooling and heating units which are old. Even when turned off you could hear the units outside the window. Breakfast provided is good. Free ‘Grab and go’ option consisted of a piece of fruit or a croissant and a yogurt parfait or an egg and cheese breakfast sandwich and tea/coffee or juice. You could also choose to have $6.50 breakfast in. Overall, I had a good stay.

Overall, a good stay at Hotel Edison. While the room was very small, it was clean and neat and the linens/towels were nice. Staff was professional and some were very friendly. Carve had excellent breakfast options. Location is great if you want to be in the heart of Times Square/Theatre district. Can be noisy, but that comes with the area. Wi-fi is spotty.

Great location but the rooms were very dissapointing. No mini fridge which is inconvenient but not the end of the world, the water in the shower randomly makes a weird noise and then shorts out for a couple seconds. Very strange. The biggest dissapointment is that you can not control the temprature in the room. The thermostat is a fake thermostat and does not give the ability to adjust to heat or cool or adjust the temps within either setting. This is a deal breaker for us and we will not be back. in 2025 that should not be an unreasonable feature to have in pricy hotel rooms, or really at any price point.

Terrific room with plenty of space, kind staff. I've stayed in a lot of miserable NY hotels over years of business travel, but this one will remain on my "return" list. And despite its proximity to Times Square, it was quiet.

This hotel was ok, the location is definitely great. The interior doesn't appear to have been updated in several decades - it's pretty tired looking. Also, the walls are quite thin. We were in front of the elevators and heard them all night. Overall, everything was just ok. I would think this is a 3 star hotel at best.

Room a bit small, but for NYC it was very good. Staff was very helpful. The elevators worked well and we had very short waits. Breakfast was good at Friedmans, as was the Grab and Go breakfast for mornings you're in a hurry. The complimentary wine tasting on Tuesday & Friday evening was a great surprise

The hotel location next to Time Square is fantastic. However the room was small without a fridge (extra) & the decor was old. Getting a hot shower at peak times was sometimes challenging & poor. The Tuesday & Friday afternoon wine & cheese hours were very enjoyable & a nice way to end our day.
