Wonderful trip!
Great location at W. 38th and 5th Avenue for food, shopping and entertainment. The hotel is a small, boutique hotel which had some nice features. It was also nice to have a restaurant in the lobby. Highly recommended.

Young man wiling the deal was amazing! He was always courteous, helpful and always smiling. The rooms were small and the lighting was really dark, but it worked for the great location.

Great boutique hotel, close to everything. My only complaint is the Resort Fees - Gym, safe, and kerig coffee maker. Safe's and coffee makers are pretty standard these days, surprised they had this included as a resort fee. I'm usually there for business, and have never used the gym. I think it should be optional. As much as I like this hotel, I've considered shopping around for alternatives, possibly less expensive, or at least without the resort fees of $40 .

Perfect location to both train stations,and Broadway shows. Rooms are comfortable and quiet but lighting is too dull for elderly and no full length mirrors. Also I noted a defective hand held shower fixture.

Everything is quite small; the lobby, rooms, and elevator. It is fairly dim as well. No fancy amenities but for just an over night stay, it was fine. Washroom is a good size though. Had to pay an extra fee upon arrival which wasn't very nice but I'm told that is most of Manhattan. Should just include it in he cost.

Initial impressions were that staff were okay at check in, offered us bottled water nightly and were generally helpful. We paid for a room with an Empire State Building view and were delighted by the huge unobstructed view from our window. The room was small though and made getting ready a challenge. The air conditioning did not get cold and we asked front desk to look into it - they did and it still never got better. On our last night there (a Monday) the rooftop closed at 11 and we didn’t get to really enjoy it as much as we thought we would. But the views from there were unparalleled. Overall the hotel is nice and convenient to several subway lines, beautiful Bryant Park and walkable to all the major attractions.

Upon arrival, the issues began immediately with an unwelcoming front desk and an unfriendly bartender, setting the tone for a disappointing stay. The initial room had a strong mildew smell, and while we were moved to another room, it smelled even worse. Basic cleanliness was severely lacking: we wiped down the countertops only to reveal black dirt, and someone’s medication was still left in the room. The bathroom was in disrepair, with mold and soap scum present on the floors and the entire shower and the furniture—including a worn and dirty chair—was in poor condition. Despite its advertised 4-star status, the experience felt more like a 3-star hotel. The absence of a doorman and the overall unprofessional behavior of the staff reflected the low quality and disregard for guest satisfaction. Just asking for towels felt uncomfortable because it seems like no one wants to work there. Once we checked, we got on the elevator and one of the hotel staff nearly ran my friend over just to get on the elevator. I know this is NYC but the staff’s behavior is unacceptable. Even worse, when I asked for a room key, no one checked my ID to see if I was actually staying there. I was handed the key without properly checking and verifying that I was staying there. Overall, it was an unpleasant and subpar experience. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

I truly enjoyed my stay at Hotel Hendricks ! Such a convenient location , 10 minute walk to Times Square! Staff were amazing , Ethan specifically was exceptional at the front desk. The room I got was an Empire State view, such a great view of the Empire State building. Rooms were clean and I loved the decor. They have a nice bar in the lobby and a rooftop restaurant as well. This place is now in my top 5 places to stay in New York!
