I've stayed here a few times. The staff is always friendly and helpful. It's near a nice local bar where I hang out, and it's right in Chinatown and near Little Italy, so finding a restaurant nearby is so easy.

The room didn’t exactly look as pictured. There was a bed in a separate room. The larger living space had the other bed with an odd kitchen. Full size frig next to a stand alone open closet. The kitchen had a sink with some utensils and dishes. There was a fan above what once was a stove. Not exactly a “kitchen”. There wasn’t even your basic microwave. Waste of space, IMO. Otherwise, the location in the heart of Chinatown was what we were looking for. The price was comparable to other hotels in the area. It was clean.

Everything was very good, however, the air conditioning was set so that the room was at 59 degrees. Very cold with no possibility to make changes. Eventually, someone came and turned it off.

Nice property split between Chinatown and little Italy. Nice park across the street. Walking distance to Brooklyn bridge, 9/11, Statue of Liberty is reasonable. Close to subway for everything else.

Humble but decent, very nice staff
I had a very positive experience here, but definitely understand it’s not a luxury experience. The front desk was helpful and I felt safe. That said, it’s an old building! Don’t expect it to be like the modern chains. I can’t say I’d choose to stay here again if I had other options, but I booked last-minute for work and was perfectly fine with it.

Stayed here Labor Day weekend 2024. Room was immaculate. Beds and pillows were top of the line. One criticism is that the tub/shower area had no safety bar. But otherwise perfect. DoorDash can bring you anything from NYC area or the options to eat nearby in Little Italy or Chinatown are endless within walking distance. Unique to our trip was one nasty thing. There’s a park across the street and some busker was out there every afternoon katerwauling into a poor sound system on full blast. I wanted to go out and ask them who on earth told them they could sing! But they left by 6 pm. But this isn’t the hotels fault. I was impressed by the quiet at night. Total silence from 7pm - 7 am. Nice. I always felt safe, although common sense and basic precautions should always be observed. Very pleasant stay! Definitely would stay here again! If you want to be immersed in Chinese-American culture, this is where you want to be!

The freezing AC temperature in the room made it unbearable. 62F with no way to change. We asked the receptionist to shut it off at least 5 times and every time it will restart on its own in a couple of hours.
