I was given a smaller room with handicap accessible instead of their standard room, but the hotel manager gave me free drink cards and waived the resort fee which was nice of him.

Staff were excellent at check in/out. Nothing was too much trouble. Bar service is painfully slow. Needs more staff. Rooftop is superb. Memorable views down to TS. Very clean hotel, modern with a very upbeat vibe. Lots of beggars around TS these days which is sad to see given huw much money is swilling around. Would definitely go back.

Nice location, very central, walking distance to main attractions. Rooms are rather clean, but very limited supply of bathroom soaps, no body lotion, no water in the fridge, no coffee or tea machine. Staff is friendly, nice breakfast at the hotel, very friendly staff at the restaurant, fun games in the lobby. Elevators are a bit of a problem, too long wait.

One step above a holiday inn
This hotel is no frills. I paid a crazy rate due to fashion week so relative value was not there. If you just need somewhere to crash, it’s fine. Service is fine. Bed is fine. Towels are old and rough. Don’t expect amenities or anything beyond somewhere to sleep. Which at normal rates, is fine here. You get what you pay for. The few big knocks I have: 1) room service was AWFUL. Ordered an omelet and I could tell it was boxed egg-like product. Bread was cheap loaf. Coffee was instant. It was terrible and very over priced. 2) asked for late check out which they granted an hour, only to then have someone bang on my door as I was trying to sleep a little longer after a crazy delayed flight. 3) the destination charge for a hotel that has zero to offer is just offensive.

Nice hotel, nice stay requested a birthday welcome and they did an amazing job was very nice of them …However I didn’t understand the different deposits amounts person in front of me had a $100 deposit and the man beside me had a $100 deposit and when it was my turn I had a $300 deposit wasn’t quit sure why that was makes me wonder if it was a racial thing but thought that was a little excessive for a deposit

My family stayed here for our first visit to NYC. The location was perfect; easy to walk to so many attractions from here. Subway stops are close by, and having a Walgreens at street level was handy for when we needed something extra. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, and view from the lobby balcony was incredible.

Hidden Fees
The location was perfect as it was a very short distance from times square. My biggest issue were all the fees that were never mentioned. $400 deposit had to be paid at the hotel and it was a declining balance for any purchases made at the hotel. If I chose not to purchase anything at the hotel and not charge it to my room then there would be a daily $40 fee. On top of those charges it was a $35 daily destination fee applied which I was unaware of even though I read through everything when I booked. Overall the hotel was good but all the hidden fees ontop of what I paid for the stay is ridiculous.

The hotel has a third party contractor who installs In- room smoke detectors impose a $500 fine if the detector detects smoke. My daughter, who does not smoke, was accused of smoking in her room, even though she was not even on the room at the time noted in the incidence report. Hotel management was not only uncooperative in resolving the false claim , but rude as well. This appears to be a scam perpetuated by the third party contractor, yet the hotel management were unwilling to provide documentation of the frequency of the monitors going off or to have one of their staff go to the room to confirm that there was no smoke detectable in the room. I recommend against staying at this hotel.

Overall I would definitely stay here again. A few things that I missed. Water bottles and a microwave. Not sure if all NY hotels are like that but other than that. The bar area was great! Everyone was super friendly. Good AC and room service came daily.
