First time in New York city and loved the Hotel. Everything was just minutes of a walk. Friendly staff and the housekeeper Kim was very nice and took care of us. The downside is for a nice hotel you have to pay extra for a mini fridge.

I booked Park Central Hotel for a one-night stay in June. After a long trip into the city, my friend and I arrived to find out the hotel could not accommodate us due to a flood on our floor. We were never contacted in advance—no call, email or anything— despite our check-in being after 3 or 4 pm and them saying the “flood” happened in the early afternoon when we arrived after 5pm. The front desk handed us a printed sheet with the name of a different hotel, saying it was a local upgrade. Unfortunately, it was located across the city and far from our plans—an hour walk or 30-minute drive. When I expressed that this wouldn’t work, the staff and manager became dismissive, disrespectful and unhelpful. We were offered a small amount of cash for a cab that barely covered one direction. I was told a refund would be processed, but it never was. I called several times and was promised a call back, which I never received. Expedia also said they couldn’t help since the hotel marked it as resolved, even though we were never allowed to stay there. Thankfully, we found a wonderful last-minute option at The Jewel Hotel, but the experience at Park Central left us feeling disregarded and stranded. I would not recommend booking here based on how the situation was handled.

I had a very pleasant stay at Park Central Hotel. The lobby is pretty and very clean. Staff was very helpful when my flight was delayed arriving very late.

This was my second stay at Park Central. The good: clean, good-sized rooms, lovely lobby, excellent location for seeing shows, close to public transit. The not-so-good: Upon check-in, the double queen room we had booked was unavailable. We were given a King (for three people). Before the night was through, a staff member switched us to a double room which turned out to be two full beds instead of queens. This necessitated a third switch which happened the next day. The phones in at least two of the rooms were nonfunctional, so calling the front desk had to be done by mobile. The hair dryer and TV also did not work in our final room. We were given a slightly improved hair dryer, but the (very nice) staff members who came to help us with the TV were unable to fix a wiring issue within the wall, so offered to switch our room again, which we declined, already having done so twice in two days. To top it off, upon checkout, the desk staff person did not want to remove the destination fee as we were promised upon check-in due to the unavailability of our booked room. He eventually did give us that credit, but then proceeded to charge me again for the complete stay, even though I had already paid through Expedia prior to the trip. Since our Lyft was waiting, I did not notice the duplicate charge until we were on our way to the airport. This resulted in a half hour of phone conversations over two days to clear up and receive a credit card refund for the second payment.

room was not cleaned well. hair was left over the entire room from previous guest. lighting in room was very poor. switched rooms and lighting was still poor. didn't have frig in 2nd room. walls are thin so you can hear other rooms. didn't receive ice bags in both rooms. main bathrooms in lobby never had hand soap, even after informing staff that the bathrooms didn't have soap.

It was nice, quiet, and clean but the hotel mangers are absolutely the most unprofessional I’ve ever dealt with. The hotel had a new computer system and had no idea who was in what room and what rooms were available so we didn’t get the room we booked and were offered no refund until MULTIPLE calls to the hotel and Expedia and then FINALLY after almost 3 weeks of fighting and arguing we got 1 nights refund although we were told we would get our whole trip refunded which we didn’t ask for or expect but deserved something due to the complete lies and horrific service

Family of 4 from Australia. Hotel was located close to lots of amenities, central park and times square wasn't too far either. Check in wasn't until 4pm which was inconvenient for a lot of travelers and often very long lines to check in. The lifts were an issues as only 1 or 2 were working at any one time which caused most people to line up to get to their rooms. Rooms size was good for NYC and sheets and bedding was clean. Carpets and bathrooms were a little dated. No local tv (only hotel TV only). Did come with a smaller fridge which was helpful. Very good small convenience store almost next door which was great for snacks, cerals, pizza, sandwiches etc
