December Visit
We had read some awful reviews so were expecting the worst. Rooms were basic, but spacious and clean (My daughter and I had a twin room which had two large beds in). We were allowed to have an early check-in and late check-out (for a small additional fee) which was fantastic as we didn't want to leave our luggage in the luggage room (where it seemed to be just a room of the reception with no security and a free for all). Ate in the bar/restaurant on our last evening and the bar girl was wonderful and couldn't do enough for us.

Not what I booked.
We booked two rooms each with two queen beds. We called and checked and came in person and checked before we checked in. Upon checking in later in the evening they could only give us a king size room with a cot. We had to ask for pillows and blankets as they weren’t on the bed. The blankets had cigarette holes in it. No one could help. I’m speaking to management in the morning. Also, the cot only fits where it blocks the door to exit the room (major fire hazard) and the route to the bathroom for the rest of the family. We are extremely disappointed

The hotel is in good proximity to Times Square , Hudson yards , Macys and a lot of other places . We had the family room - nice size and lots of storage space and counter tops to put your toiletries . We were 4 adult women - one teenager and one baby . The area right outside hotel was very dark but it looked like it was under construction. The hot water was a hit or miss issue but overall it worked . The only issue I have is they claim to have free crib but it’s not true . We were charged $30 a night . I have contacted Wyndham corporate and they said it’s the hotel who needs to handle it . I’ve tried - I’ve sent email to general manager and I’ve called several times . No response.

We arrived to our hotel around 6 pm and there were many people arriving at the same time. I saw the front desk hotel worker work patiently with two large groups of people and then myself. I have no doubt he continued to do so with the many patrons behind me.

This hotel is in a great continent location to so many things. We had a larger room for 5, which was amazing. Very roomy for NY and for the price.

The walls are super thin. I could hear every conversation or movement from the next room. The first night had a party next door. The 2nd and 3rd nights were restless due to not being able to sleep until the people next door were ready to. Did i mention you could hear everything? I paid for a room advertised with a view, but was given the back alley view of other buildings. False advertisement. For the money spent, i recommend finding another hotel that is supposed to be 4 stars. The staff was kind, but not being able to sleep or have any semblemce of quiet was unnerving.

We were a family of five and booked the theater room specifically. We arrived a. Hour before checkin and were told that our “rooms” were t ready yet and to come back at 3. No problem on coming back but “rooms”? They did NOT have any availability for the room type we booked (disappointing) and had us reserved instead in two adjoining king rooms (which only slept 4). Then it was one room with two queens and adding a rollaway bed. 45 mins later the front desk agent (who was very nice and apologetic) found a premium family room that slept 5. While not as nice as the room we booked we were just desperate to move on and get our vacation underway. Upon arriving in our room we found a bedbug walking alongside the top of the bed on the cover sheet. We went back down to inform them and they only offered to send up housekeeping to change the linens. We were all grossed out and slept on top of the beds versus turning them down. I will say, the staff was very friendly. The room was otherwise very clean. The lobby was nice and cozy. And I liked that the room to store your luggage was self serve (convenient). Super convenient location. An easy walk over to the Amtrak. I just wish they could honor the rooms that they offer upon booking. Otherwise why give a choice? (And if a guest finds a bed bug and shows you the video proof, you should automatically offer to move them to a different room preferably on a different floor. And clearly they were overbooked and couldn’t, so maybe a refund?
