Beautiful hotel. Outstanding gothic architecture and good location.Mediocre staff, refused to upgrade room and honor the $55 drink credit even though I’m an Expedia platinum member. First time I have been denied this benefit. I asked the concierge at what time did the bar closed and he replied visibly annoyed “I don’t understand what you need.” This is more a 4-star hotel service than 5-star. Never going back.

Fantastic property with wonderful staff to match it! From the moment we arrived the valets were friendly and accommodating, followed by an efficient and friendly front desk staff. Turn down service left us with a nice welcome note and cookies to enjoy in the evening. The room was thoughtfully appointed and beds and bedding were divine. Just outstanding stay! I only regret not being able to enjoy a meal in the wonderful on site restaurants or a drink at the bar but I will be back for sure! Spectacular!

There was a flashing fire alarm mechanism on the ceiling in the room we stayed in that flashed a light all night long which interrupted our sleep and was in the room they moved us to. The cleaning crew forgot to give us new towels one of the nights so we had none and we had hot water about 80% of the time and lukewarm water the other 20%. We love the hotel, but there’s some things that need some improvement, thanks.

My husband and I chose to stay at The Beekman so we could obtain our marriage license at City Hall, which is just a quick walk away. We also had a photo shoot planned near City Hall, and the hotel’s location was perfect—right in the midst of downtown Manhattan’s iconic landmarks. The hotel itself is breathtaking, with gorgeous rooms, an impressive atrium, and a restaurant at its center. This hotel has such rich history, that they almost should do tours here! The food at the hotel restaurants was delicious, the service excellent, and the décor makes you feel like you’ve stepped back into old New York, where anything magical could happen. We’re already looking forward to returning. Located in the heart of downtown and a 5 minute walk from the Brooklyn Bridge, the hotel is also just a short walk from the Seaport District, another enchanting area filled with great dining options and views of ships in the harbor! That part of Manhattan truly feels special—like stepping into historic New York—and staying at The Beekman made our experience truly unique.
