First time at the Benjamin for many years. Was told that it had been refurbished so I was looking forward to it. The door to the bedroom and the bathroom door had huge chunks of the wood banged off. Probably because they did not plan the layout properly. Unacceptable at $800 at any rate. Also no room service. Also unacceptable! Coffee for the Keurig was substandard. Beds were just ok. I’ll go back to the Kimberly next time.

We celebrated our son’s 13th birthday in NYC and booked a last minute room at the Benjamin. We were shocked by how grand the room was! It was an end room with a sleeper sofa, king bed in a separate room, kitchenette, large dining room table, and the best part? A huge terrace where we would sit and feel like we were living in a NYC movie set. It’s now our favorite hotel; the staff was accommodating and rooms were super clean. I wish we could have extended our stay! Perfect location to access Rockefeller Center, 5th Avenue shopping, Times Square, and the green subway line to get you anywhere relatively quickly. We discovered some new favorite restaurants within a few blocks of the hotel. The gym was super crowded when we were there but I’d say that’s a good thing! We will definitely be back!

It was ok - but not sure worth the money
Pros: Very easy check in. Lovely staff throughout. Very comfortable bed. Great location. Nice hot water in the shower. Cons: Odd bathroom set up - the toilet paper sits on your lap as using the toilet. The seat lid doesnt go up all the way due to the counter being in way. The lights are on a timer so they dont stay on when you want them to. The shower was very small and the curtain touched you the whole time. The extra roll of toilet paper was gross - thenkfully I didn't need it. I also think there was mold on one of the tiles. My collegues had much nicer rooms with no complaints. Maybe it was just this one. I would probably stay again, because the positives outweighed the cons.
